You mean like the fade he tried to throw when the ball should have been tossed through the EZ or out of bounds?.....that was a mistake most high school QBs wouldnt even make.....I don;t know where his head was at....
The worst part: The defense, as bad as they were, essentially scored 10 points (Rhodes TD, Vilma's INT in FG range).... Chad led the offense to 7 points, and also gave the Giants 7 points on one of his INTs.... As bad as the defense has been, they STILL were the only reason (along with Leon Washington) that we were in that game.... That's when you know there is something SERIOUSLY wrong at QB!
that i?m one of the few, wo are still on Chad?s side may have something to do with the different mentality, or that i?m not exposed so much to the American/New York media Circus. Here?s the same poll from a little german Jets-Fansite: http://forum.theganggreen.de/thread.php?threadid=466 there aren?t many users, but i think you get the idea. @Mods, i hope i don?t violate any rules, by posting this Link, if so: Sorry, and pls delate this post.
237-18 92% want a change at QB... I haven't seen a beating like that since someone stuck a bananna in my pants and turned a monkey loose..
Why would we not want to see what Clemens has before this offseason. Perhaps Mangini wants to wait until we are ridiculously out of playoff contention (not that we aren't really now). Otherwise, say he starts this week against the Eagles and wins. Then there is talk and pressure of can Clemens turn NY around and take them to the playoffs. Perhaps he'd be better off being the starter of a spoiler team without the pressure of playoffs altogether.
I'm not reading any more of this garbage.........the DEFENSE lost that game in the 2nd half yesterday. Chad was trying to make something happen but it didn't work. Our DB against Burress looked like Deon Sanders trying to make a tackle ( just wave at his ankles) We have ALOT of problems, but while Chad wasn't GREAT yesterday, PLEASE don't put it all on him.
Of course Chad isn't the only problem. But if we had good players for other positions sitting on the bench we'd be asking for them. If there was a 350 lb NT geting splinters we'd all be howling for him to get into the game. Or a promising RG or a CB or what have you. QB is the one position (and a very crucial one) where we have a promising player in the wings. One that was drafted high and could be the future for the team at the position. Let's see what we have because it is definitely something we can do, and we have to do something.
i am a true supporter of the jets! i am a die hard pennington fan as you can tell by my name but i do think it is almost time for clemens... but as a TRUE fan i will follow what the players and coaches think is right for the jets and that is why they get paid the big buck and we jsut talk to in forums...IM thinkin its cuz they know a little but more than us and thats y they get paid millions and we r spectators
Chad's limitations put every other person on the team in a position where they must play perfect football, even against bad teams. When you score a TD on offense, defense, and special teams, you are supposed to win the game, period, regardless of a couple missed tackles or bad calls by the refs.
DUDE.......Burress RAN OVER his ass! If you put THAT on CHAD, you're an IDIOT! I'm DONE with this garbage thread.....
Good, you're obviously out of your depth anyway if you can't follow a simple logical argument. The majority of the board isn't blaming Chad, but that point is wasted on you. Go back to the thread about rainbows.
What's your point man? You're saying it's not Chad's fault we lost that game? Were you even watching? Did you see that pass Chad made? If he just tosses that away or even TAKES THE SACK then we've still got a third down and 5-10 yard play, hardly an impossible call, plus we're in 35 yard field goal area. If we go on to at least score 3 points on that drive, we don't give the Giants the momentum. Chad also made two other totally weak-armed picks. Even the announcer picked up on it, the balls were both in the air forever and Pennington telegraphed it; a guy who cannot throw ten yard outs when he needs to muscle one pass the defender who is jumping on the route won't survive the NFL much longer. You keep saying that you're in the point of the thread. How? This is Chad or Kellen, not a question of who's fault it is, defense or offense. As fenwyr said, when you score a Special Teams TD, have 10 defensive points (Vilma pick counts as 3, we didnt even move the ball after that) you should win the game, especially against the Giants team that didn't play worth a shit in the first half. Chad led us to score 7 offensive points...7! And that shouldn't have even been, the DB was lost and didn't even look when Brad went to jump and make the catch. That pass was an underthrown floater and Smith was covered. How much worse can Clemens be? We're not saying it's all Chad's fault, that's not the point, you understand? If you finally are done with this thread, like u keep saying but not actually doing, then good riddance. Your opinions are respected but honestly make no sense and are dodging the argument. That's like in a debate when someone challenges your argument, you saying something about their mother.
I like Chad and I guess I was a supporter for the past years, but I think he lost his touch... maybe he can come back in Kellen doesnt work, but the Clemens era has begun if Mangini wants to
