trouble is for rex he knows he is 99% likely gone at the end of the season and any future employer will want to know that he is able to keep the dirty laundry in-house - no sense in hurting your future employment options when this gig is all but done and beyond any saving (by anyone). I can imagine the job interview now: "so rex, what do you think was the root cause of the Jets troubles?" "#6 and #7" "no further questions, welcome aboard".
well the gm helped there too I understand but as a fan you want what's right I can take loosing if it was not such a blatant set up
Rex to Press / opening statement: "Before you start with my future employment questions , I want you all to know I fooled everyone. I was really my twin brother who was here the whole time."
Yeah, I wouldn't expect him to, but there's a way to be critical without talking down about a guy. I'd like to think he's doing so in the locker room, away from the media, but there's no indication that Geno is getting better. So he's either not receiving the proper criticism/coaching or isn't able to learn from what he's being told.
I think Rex remaining as the head coach at this point is foolish. He needs to be let go to try to make this season not become a legendary joke.
Rex should ask to be fired, this team may go 1-15 and he will position himself out of any job next year
I'm not a Rex fan but I'd give him the rest of the year. To do what you ask. I don't know. How's about coaching a team. As for the theory that Rex is an innocent bystander and the record is because of Idzik getting him lousy players. That's horseshit.
Right, because there's all those diamonds in the rough waiting to be polished. George Fucking Gipp couldn't polish these dullards.
I hope he really doesn't believe that, because if he does one has to question his mental stability in addition to everything else
