We have a good group compared to a lot of NFL rosters as well.

    Wilkerson, Richardson, Coples, Pace, Barnes.

All proven to get to the QB. I just don't understand the argument I guess. Didn't we only have 3 fewer sacks last year in comparison with the Seahawks?

I just don't see a huge difference there at all.

Now if you want to argue secondaries, Seahawks all day long.

Wow, much less time went between posts I agree with you on this time than last time. You must be improving.

But I totally agree here. This was not the off season to make a move at OLB. The Jets rewarded Pace's solid production with a fairly cheap one year deal. Coples in fact I do think is likely to break out, having shown progress toward the end of last year. And Barnes returning is an upgrade over last year, assuming he stays healthy. Meanwhile too many holes elsewhere. Having said that I can see a move next off season, with Pace a year older.

He had 2 sacks in 12 games last year according to ESPN, and obviously missed their entire SuperBowl run, so I am not sure how this would help your argument. Heck, even if you only look at his rookie year, then Pace and Wilkerson were still better in terms of sacks.

Well, if considering having the 12th or 13th best pass rush in the league with no secondary, lots of young raw starters (Richardson, Harrison, Coples) and injury issues (Barnes, Coples) to be good enough (when weighing it vs the above said terrible secondary) is low standards, I can live with that.

Keep in mind that Pryor will undoubtedly be blitzing a lot this year. Rex doesn't rely on OLBs to get pressure, it's more about stopping the run. Rex has the pressure come from all over the field, sometimes where you least expect it. Pryor will play a big role in this.

i dont think rex thinks he needs a cover fs and a edge rusher...
    a. he seems to like big pressure in the middle of the pocket and uses the edges to stop the run
    b. only time he had a pure cover saftey was kerry rhodes. and he hated him and got rid of him. since that we have always had 2 guys that are considered ss.

im only pointing this out becuase everyone complains we need a speed rusher and a Fs with good coverage skills..but apparently rex doesnt think so
