I don't understand where all this McCareins love is coming from. He flat out sucked last year. Since he's been here, he has done nothing but drop balls and flop on long passes. He was acquired to be our 'home run' threat, but hasn't shown any of that gamebreaking ability he displayed with the Titans. I don't buy the QB excuse either. He had opportunities to make plays last year, and he let them slip through his fingertips.

I think Cotchery has a decent chance to surprise. He was tearing it up during training camp last year, and has shown that he possesses the work ethic Mangini so adores. He didn't get a fair chance to play in reg. season games, since Herm was reluctant to give up on McCareins who they traded a 2nd rounder for. I doubt Mangini tolerates incompetance for long, so I expect to actually see Cotch in the game if McCareins can't get his act together.

In a 3-4 he cant be OLB which is his natural position he is too small and would get run over.He can be ILB but with Kassell and Schegal there i dont think he will be there.
