I hate this attitude...let's lose, and get a better pick. If you could pick in retrospect, and hindsight was 20-20, then of course you'd want the worst pick. But having the #1 pick does not guarantee the best player (no matter who's drafting), and meanwhile you have encouraged -- or witnessed -- a level of ineptitude that is cancerous to the organization. Not to mention the higher the draft pick, the bigger the hit to the cap.

I want to win every game every week. I'll never root for the Jets to lose to gain a spot in the draft. I mean, they had the #1 pick in '97 and Manning decides to stay one more year. A lot of good it did them then.

Yeah I like the idea of thunder and lightning , but the O line is going to take at least 2 seasons to fix unless we get lucky. Mike Alstott would have to plow through the linemen if he played for us right now.

Yeah, sweet punishment, Goodell, you showed them...

"You guys have been caught for cheating? After winning 3 Super Bowls, and being well on your way to your forth? Well, I'll show you! I'll take away the 32nd pick in the draft! Ha! Now you only have San Francisco's pick!"

The ULTIMATE example of sweeping the issue under the carpet.....

If we lose the the Phins...we will go 1-15.

I don't want the #1 overall pick though.

If we could somehoe trade out of the top 5 that would be ideal IMO...trade down to 7-10 and take Gholston.

the point is we can make up any situation that lands the Jets the 1st or 2nd pick, and we can make up any situation that can land the Jets in the playoffs this season, so what's the point, it doesn't accomplish anything. there are simply far too many variables beyond what the Jets control to try and speculate where they are going to finish, so doing so under the guise of a legitimate analysis is just asinine.

Yeah really, who cares about the draft right now. We still have 7 games left on the schedule and I want to see the jets win. We can worry about the draft for months after the season ends.

The way Clemens has played and has had us on the borderline of beating the Redskins & Ravens, I wouldn't be surprised at all if we beat the Browns, Dolphins, Titans, and/or Chiefs.

im starting to agree with not wanting to even be in the top 5 (although, i do wanna pick ahead of the Pats).

and after watching Gholston yesterday, he looks like he'll be an absolute beast.

This draft may not be strong but if we finish top 5 we must trade down and gain another first and a third. We have more holes than any FA and 6 draft picks are going to fix.

Pick up the best DE or OLB available at 10-15 and pick OL / DL for the next two rounds

However I always want the jets to win , this season has been demoralising so far! Even for the jets!!

Amen brother! Glad to hear someone with the same opinion. If you are rooting against the Jets for the draft then you are obviously a young person and don't remember Blair Thomas. Rooting for draft picks is loser talk, let's put together some wins and build momentum for next year.

Today was awesome! Didn't that feel good? If you really want someone in the draft you can trade up, like we did twice last year. We certainly have a lot of people that may be moving around next year.
