To respond to the RB matchup with Thomas Jones and Leon Washington, I don't think it's going to be a matter of our offensive line. Shottenheimer is too crafty to let Thomas Jones not be in the game because Leon is more elusive. Leon was a nice surprise and I see him flanking out on either side and releasing from the backfield as well, in a Reggie Bush type manner.

I agree. I am looking forward to seeing Leon and TJ in the game at the same time..

    Swing passes to Leon...

BTW is TJ a good blocker?

Ive hear that TJ is an slightly better than average as a blocker, and that he doesnt like to have a whole bunch of contact....this of course coming from a group of Bears fans who may have had bitter feelings towards him following the trade, but I wouldnt doubt it were true...

either way he will an upgrade both blocking and running from Leon Washington

I think u touched up better on Defense battles.

Anyway....This is what I see on Offense battles.

QB....Clemens vs. Tuasoapopo....Clemens must show alot or Jets' will have to find Chads' real successor & admit that they wasted a #2 pick on Clemens :breakdance: .Nice if Jets' sign Dante Culpepper.

RB's....Some good action here for #3 TB. Cedric Houston vs. Danny Ware. I remember this guy whenhe was at Georgia & he was the real deal. Watch out Cedric??

WR's ...There is better depth this year after the starters. Look for Stuckey to stick out.

TE's....Not even a Daniel Graham on Roster. Maybe Chris Baker will man-up this year ? Hopefully this positopn improves. Maybe Jets' can get Anthony Becht back ? At least he could block !!! Wasn't that the last time Jets' had a real running game ?

Center....Jets' need a capable back-up if Mangold goes down. He's a all-pro in the making.

LT.....Jets' are set for a while...Brick is the real deal. He played great for a rookie.

LG......Jets' have a choice of unknown candidates =..hopefully 1 or 2 can step up. I like Moran, he's a rookie from Western Michigan. Adrien Clarke has the size.

Moore & Clements on the right side is ok with me & also if Jets' can improve on them....it's even better with me.

Well...10 days to training camp....24 days til 1st pre-season game. :breakdance:

Actually, I wasn't all that keen on Clemens pick. I was rather hoping that the Jets would pick another lineman (Marcus McNeil?) with that pick - well. My reasoning was that, if Chad goes down, the team is dust no matter who is at QB position. It's highly unlikely that a rookie QB will save the season, let alone the whole franchise.

Well. Hindsight is 20-20, or so people say. I still think my gut told me what might have been better at that time. I doubt Clemens will make it - but that remains to be seen.
