I'm not sure that the gameplan is to blame. The Jets were moving the ball very well in the first half and just couldn't finish drives. In addition, a lot of the run plays were very well crafted and just failed because of great individual efforts by the Bears' front seven. I think that the problem was more execution than planning.
The mood swings of this place are laughable. There was super bowl talk after the NE win lmfao... Fair-weather fans are somethin' else. Pennington has been suspect all year since the Jax game. He manages the game well and is smart, but boy he really is throwin some floaters out there similar to late 2004. I honestly don't know what to do with him, but people praise him too much when we win and criticize too much when we lose.
with a 21.1 rating at cleveland, and a 42.8 rating today, how can you blame any other jet??hmy:
I agree completely. Watching this game, particularly in the first half, I was very excited at the way we were executing on O and D. The Offense was moving the ball at will on Chicago, even after the first Pennington INT we were dominating. The problem is game plan can only help you so much. Pennington went so South after the INT that the overall good play of the rest of the team isn't going to beat a team like the Bears. It takes solid QB play to beat teams in the NFL who are physically better than you and today every aspect of our team held up except Chad.
Definitely. Once the Bears realized that they could basically ignore Pennington and focus on stopping the run the offense disappeared. He had wide open men all day and couldn't hit them.
First of all, pennington is bad and probably shouldn't start the rest of the year. we will never be a contender with him as the quarterback. Second, onside kick is retarded. Third, we can't get turnovers against a terrible qb. And finally, why did we draft a kicker who can't kick a 50 yard field goal? If we wanted to punt from the 35 yard line we should have kept doug bryan. Fuck nugent and chad
Pennington sucks, its that simple. He has no arm, you cant win in the NFL without an arm. Our playbook is so limited because he cant throw the deep ball, how good of a reciever would Coles be right now if he had some sort of a long ball.
Dino you have become one of the worst posters on this board bro. Your biggest talent is being a wise ass and cutting off peoples quotes. thats all you do recently...you used to talk football and make some good points, thast all gone man...its a shame...your undying love for Chad and sawyer has really gotten in the way of your ability to have a reasonable conversation
I think you have some sort of hang up on me. Why don't you keep on making it about the poster instead on the topic. You obviously are bad at reading people. Nice trend you got going tonight.
Tony: I saw the pass again. If Elway threw it, it was knocked down, not caught by Urlacher. I don't care who threw it, it wasn't being completed. However, if a guy with a gun threw it, it would have just been knocked down.
i love the 6 or 7 draw plays......were worthless because the Bears werent even blitzing very much in the 1st half........ Mangini/Schott lost this game more than the players.....just terrible decision makingIMO
the Bears just sat back,, took very few chances ....and just patiently waited for us to make mistakes which we did.......and then took advantage......very smart gameplan
