Home games Sunday at 1pm so I can still watch 3/4 of the 4pm games, eat dinner with family, take a nap and then watch SNF. 4pm home games wipe out the entire day and I don't see any football on the tele. Away games I prefer 4pm so I can enjoy the 1pm games ( majority of the games) without any jet pressure and when they lose at 1pm it takes the fun out of the 4pm games. I go to Church on Sunday, its call the REDZONE!!!!!!!!!!
what is this yard work are you guys talking about in Winter Time? Am I missing something? For me it is 1 PM. When Jets are at 4PM or Sunday night game, I don't enjoy the games that starts at 1 PM. My mind is constantly busy with the Jets.
Ha, I forgot most of you guys get something called "winter." I'm in Central Florida, so the grass still has to get cut every week............all year long ............but hey, as long as I do it, the wife leaves me alone on Sunday's!
Oh boy. No way I am moving to Florida. My wife doesn't let me hire professional help for yard. But since she is in Turkey with family every summer, I stop watering the grass and they don't grow as much and I only cut grass like 3 or 4 times at most between May and September. Okay back on topic. 1 PM game for the win. Home or away. Give me a 1 PM game and even better give me a 9:30 PM game so I can be done with football early.
I like the 1PM game for the opposite reason, kids are small, my son's football games are at 9:00, home by 10:30 with plenty of time to pick up whatever food/drinks I need and get to where I am watching. I can also make it to the stadium with plenty of time for the game (although limited tailgating time). There are always a few weekends during football season where I am forced to do a sit down dinner for whatever reason and the 4PM games hit smack in the middle of them. Don't mind the night games too much, but actually attending generally requires taking Monday or Tuesday off from work. (Live in Eastern Long Island).
3PM is perfect because I work 3rd shift on weekends, so at Noon Sunday I'm sipping on my coffee, eyes half shut, trying to watch the start of the games. By 3 I'm fully awake, and jacked for another good set of 3pm games.
Thursday night football is one of Goodell's more stupid ideas just like taking away nfl draft weekend.
I like the night games, everyone around me is settled down by then and I can focus on just watching the game.
For watching on TV, 1 PM is the best spot. I HATE the 4 PM slot. Overall ranking: 1 PM SNF MNF TNF 4 PM
As a long, long time tailgater, nothing beats the 4pm start time for home games. That way I can get some sleep the night before and still be in the lot "early". A lot less of a rush.
prime time games are the best. The other 30 teams have come and gone, and now it's just the Jets against the world with the whole universe watching.
tnf needs to go the fuck away. with a kid who plays on sundays for most of September and October its just easier to have the game at 4.
