I tend to agree about shitty one-liners , but as fans that is our prerogative. The offensive ones get dealt with.

I think you are a bit naive if thats all you think it takes to become great contenders in a couple more years.
With a harder schedule this year, it has really opened my eyes exactly how far we will have to go AND outpace the rest of the league in getting better.
Merely beefing up both lines and adding small changes isn't going to do it.
We have glaring holes all over and once those holes are filled depth needs to be added . For this to happen we will have to be very very shrewd in the off-seasons with free agency and be lucky/clever in the next 2-3 drafts to have any chance of making a genuine Superbowl run by 2010.
Because we were ahead of where we need to be last season, and arguably behind this season , I would say that we are probably just behind where we need to be right now. Big mistake was not starting KC from the offset.
On KC I do not think (yet) that he is the future of this team. If Chads gone next year I hope that we can pick up someone Like Garcia , a journeyman who know how to run an offense and can offer experience at the highest level.

It never occured to me the Jets brain trust was applying some of the savy ideas that get bounced around this board and applying it on the field? Maybe the real problem with the Jets is Bradway and now Tannenbaum have been taking advice from the wrong posters?
