with 4 games to go and balt/pitt/NE losing this week it will be a fun last few weeks...especially if we beat tampa
My hopes are getting up. That can only mean one of two things: The Jets blow this in heartbreaking fashion against Tampa or the Jets manage to go 9-6 only to lose to the Bengals in week 17.
Nice to the ravens go down. And funny how the media is suddenly not sucking up to Joe Flacco as the next Dan Marino. That Int he threw into the endzone was hilarious.
If the Jets win out, they will be in the playoffs. Jacksonville, Miami, and The Jaguars have games against the Phins, Colts, and Patriots. The Steelers still have to play
If the Jets win out, they will be in the playoffs. As long as the Steelers can beat the Ravens at home. No other wild card team will win more than 9 games. Jacksonville has to play vs. MIA (W), vs. IND (L), @ NE (L), @ CLE (W). Miami has to play @ JAC (L), @ TEN (L), vs. HOU (W), vs. PIT (L). Baltimore has to play vs. DET (W), vs. CHI (W), @ PIT (L), @ OAK (W). Pittsburgh has to play @ CLE (W), vs. GB (L), vs. BAL (W), @ MIA (W).
for some reason the entire message didn't go through the first time. that was funny though. having said that, you're probably a dbag.
Miami's playing well right now, they always seem to heat up toward the end of the season. When its most inconvenience and annoying
http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/playoff...=00400011&14=04004511&15=50000401&16=51100414 I was playing around with the Playoff Scenario Generator. I gathered a few things from it: -We must win out. -We need Miami to lose to the Jags this week. -Indy to beat Jags the following week. -Baltimore to lose any of their remaining games. All that will set up the follow: -For week 16 (Jags @ Pats), if Pats win than we'll get a wild-card spot. If Jags win than we'll win the division.
I say "root" for Miami to beat Jacksonville, then lose to Tennesse the next week (or any other game down the stretch) Root for Denver to beat Indy, but Indy to come back and beat Jacksonville the next week locking up the top seed. Then they'll start resting some guys against us in week 16. Root for the Patriots to go to hell. Root for the Steelers to beat the Ravens but nobody else. Ravens look fucked Root for the Bengals to lose the next two weeks (@ Minny and San Diego) and root for the Chargers to (at least) beat the Bengals, pretty much locking up the #2 seed. And most importantly, root for the Jets to win out! Man, seems pretty unrealistic but crazier shit has happened in the NFL
"-We need Miami to lose to the Jags this week. -Indy to beat Jags the following week. -Baltimore to lose any of their remaining games. All that will set up the follow: -For week 16 (Jags @ Pats), if Pats win than we'll get a wild-card spot. If Jags win than we'll win the division." It would be better for the Jaguars to lose to the Dolphins because the Dolphins only need to lose 1 more game and will lose to the Titans, Texans, or Steelers. In your scenario, the Jets would lose the wildcard to the Jaguars, and lose the tiebreaker for the division to the Pats. You can't really expect the Pats to lose 2 of the next 4 games (vs. CAR, @ BUF, vs. JAC, @ HOU). But, you want Jacksonville to lose to the Dolphins and Colts so you can root for them to possibly open up the division by beating the Patriots, without closing out the wildcard.
After looking at the remaining schedules of the teams we're competing with: Denver could definitely fall out of that Wild Card spot. They play Indy, Oakland, Philly, and KC. The only game I see them winning is Kansas City. Oakland is a different team with Gradkowski at QB. Hopefully, Kansas City will get some unlikely revenge during Week 17. Baltimore just looks sloppy. Their offense has been absolutely pitiful over the past few weeks. They have Detroit, Chicago, Pittsburgh, and Oakland remaining. We just need them to lose one game. It'll be tough for them to go into Pitt and get a win. Pittsburgh still has three tough games with Miami, Baltimore, and Green Bay on their schedule. Hopefully they'll lose to Green Bay, but beat Baltimore and the Fins. This is a team that we'll definitely have to root at some point. Jacksonville will lose at least two more games. Indy, Miami, New England, and Cleveland remain. I'm willing to bet they'll definitely lose to the Pats and the Colts. Miami takes on Jacksonville, Tennessee, Houston, and Pittsburgh. The odds are against them. I think the Titans will take them out of the playoff hunt.
