Cromartie is the one being an asshole, calling everyone an asshole.

Actually, this is as good as it will get, my friend. It starts with the occasional snide remark here, a flippant accusation there.

Then things start to get a bit worse after time, and you find yourself standing dick-to-thigh with Pete Kendall at the entrance to a steamy shower, trying your damndest to get him to bash his general manager without becoming aroused.

Then, before you know it, you're standing in the pouring sleet outside the training complex, begging Laveranues Coles for an anonymous quote, just one small morsel of anger at the head coach.

It's no way to live your life, this green hell we call the Jets beat.

Man I think Cromartie has a point though. It is kind of dumb that both sides have gotten to a point where they fully expect a lockout without a real compromise. Does the league even need to change that much from the former CBA?

All that needs to be done, is a freaking rookie salary cap, and thats it, I have a feeling this 18 game nonsense is whats really creating the tension. Just remove the two preseason games altogether jeezus.

Is that what he meant? All I heard was a bunch of incoherent mumbling mixed with a bleep here and there.

Better yet, if he said "meet me at applebees." That would have been gold!

I think Hasselbeck is just being the bigger man. They need to stick together and not be fighting.

So the players that have criticized Cromartie for his comments (Ray Lewis and Hasselbeck are the ones I kno) are veterans who have made plenty in their career to this point and are under contract. Any potential FAs who are coming off their rookie FAs quick to say something negative about Cromartie?

The way Cro said what he said was poor, but he has a point that a lockout is bullshit.

The point Cromartie also made, which is reasonable, is that a lockout badly hurts many thousands of people employed by the various franchises, people working burger concessions and merchandise stores and groundskeeping etc.

Exactly. Lost in all the nonsense of him calling the people who are in control of his future "assholes" is that he's making a very legitimate point.

    Yup.

The Owners need to offer up one proposal.

And then agree to just draft 1500 players if the union disagrees.
