I don’t know of many successes of this happening with low round picks. I know Mark Barron and Thomas Davis both did it but they were also both All-Americans. Why don’t we try either of them out at safety? I can’t speak from personally watching them but from what I’ve seen RE: draft profiles and analysis Nasrildeen was a stud at safety down there and if not for injury would’ve been a 3 year starter/4 year contributor.
I hear ya, but what are our choices? Stay reasonable/rational and find/develop some patience or lose our football minds and become like a raving lunatic, angry and irrational? The latter won't accomplish anything except making us bitter and sounding like an idiot.
Until Zach is ready to play again, I would stick with Flacco. He gives the Jets' full offense a better chance to develop than White and the team a better chance to win. Maybe he can also get Mims back on track. In spite of what a number of posters here claim, Mims has talent and can play at a high level, unless the Jets' idiotic CS has ruined him or his desire to play here. If the Jets wind up trading him, I'll bet he succeeds elsewhere.
Yes absolutely, regardless of Mims. White is very limited, and the Dolphins are too good defensively to not take advantage of those limitations. They would just swarm the LOS and make him try and go over the top. When I did the Mike White film breakdown, it just took 1 game to see that was how to attack him, and it’s exactly what the Bills did with lots of success. The Dolphins would just do the same. Flacco may not be great but he doesn’t have those limitations which will force the defense to have a more complex game plan.
Nasirildeen maybe, I noticed he was active and got zero LB snaps vs Buffalo. Maybe just not ready from injury but he was in on a few special teams snaps
