the guy is dangerous in the red zone and he can be the perfect person to teach Hill how to really use his height in the pros to his advantage. Sanchez clicked with him in the red zone last year and him, hill and holmes in the red zone is a defensive matchup nightmare
I'd give Hill a couple weeks to see if he is a capable #2 as a rookie, if not then Burress or Owens or OchoSucko might be an option. Hopefully Hill does well though.
Plax was a good Red Zone target, but after the season ended he was too critical of Sanchez (even though he wasn't the main problem for the 8-8 season). On one hand, he could be a good mentor to Stephen Hill since Hill is being groomed a deep threat wideout, but on the other hand he could also cause more problems.
A mentor for what, How to aim? Plax was out for some time and he's missed camp. I'd rather let the coaches coach Hill. I think he's going to do fine without a guy like Plax around him.
Fuck off Plax. Wasn't he dying to get out of here to go to the Eagles? Then he realized the Eagles didn't want him. Not only that but nobody in the league wants him.
Plax wants a job...period. Does not matter where, I'm as sure as I can be. His time is running out on this unique window of opportunity. He's 35 now. Don't go into a nightclub with a gun tucked into your sweatpants, kids. If you are dumb enough to do that with so much to lose, have a gun with a safety mechanism and make sure it is activated.
Once we drop hollow man sanchez after week 3 we're going to need someone for tebow and/or mcelroy to throw to.
Title should be "Plax desperate for ANY TEAM to sign him" yeah he wants the Jets to sign him because he wants to get back in the league.
Agreed. Especially at vet min? If we cops an attitude, we can drop him as quick as we sign him with no repercussions. I think he would be great in the red zone package. He is a little lazy and now old for an every down receiver, but he defiantly has enough energy to impact the red zone, so sure. I think it is no risk proposition.
Exactly. A vet wr who will greatly improve our O in the red zone who will come back for the Veteran minimum. Sign me up. I know everyone think Plax is the main reason we had locker room issues but I think that title belongs to Santonio. If we don't resign him it probably does mean he was a locker room problem and its not worth it. If we do resign him it probably means Santonio was the major problem but since he has to stay all the fans are using Plax as the scapegoat.
Sanchez wouldn't be cool with it. You'd upset the whole offense and give Holmes back an enabler. No thanks.
