    i guess the pitcher being nowhere near the plate is the only way to avoid the sac bunt. i wonder if manuel will connect the big inning with the fact that he didn't give the other team an out.

    Manuel fined and suspended one game for arguing with the moron first base umpire from Thursday's game for having the bill of his cap brush the umpire's hat. It's all BS, of course, but it's difficult to get too worked up about it, since Manuel is such an idiot.

    Nice inning for the Mets, but I do wonder if Maine is ever going to learn how to limit his pitch count. For someone with his quality of stuff, his command continues to be a problem, limiting him to being a 6-inning pitcher at best.

    And now the pitcher hits a HR off him.

    Maine has always been inconsistant but he is nothing more than a glorified #5 starter until he figures out how to get to 7 innings without needing 140 pitches to get there
