There is a saying that "Facing a knuckleballer can put a batter in a slump for a week!" I wonder if facing knuckleballers in back-to-back games really messed up the Philly hitters!:shit:

Chase Utley HAS to be hurt, he is making way too many mistakes. I'm not complaining though.

Meija actually has some REALLY nice stuff. If he could get his location down, wow.

Nieve's not in the game right? I'm hallucinating. That's the explanation that makes the most sense.

They were saying how Nieve was gonna throw 40 in the bullpen anyway...

Nice nab by Reyes to end the game. Two straight shutouts!

Dunno why you can't hope. I mean, ONE out of 32 two teams wins the WS ever year. 8 out of 32 make the playoffs...Why can't it be us? I see a team that definitely has the potential to go all the way (I've seen teams do it with less talent.)

I've said this before, but who expected the 07 Rockies or the 08 Rays to go to the WS? Given they lost, but never give up home on a team.

Edit: I thought you guys would have learned this already by what happened with the Jets this year..

Yes they do. If the division is locked up in april, generally alot of teams play younger guys at a lot of positions.

    See RedSox, Boston circa 2009

That actually sounds like a pretty legit point, let's hope they never recover....

Bay with a nice RBI double to the gap, starting the game off right!

Nice to see that even when the team is playing well Jerry is still an idiot. First and second, no one out, your #2 batter up, and you bunt. Amazing. And before anyone says that it's because Castillo stinks, then obviously he shouldn't be batting second, right?

And now Davis hits into a double play, giving perfect evidence of why bunting there was a stupid decision.

Nice defense by Blanco and Pagan to get Pelfrey through 7 still up 1-0.

A good question was brought up on the radio the other day. They asked the question when Beltran returns, is Pagan still the CF for the Mets, moving Beltran to RF? I would have to say yes, Pagan has shown a lot more then Frenchy!
