Obviously the guy was in some way inebriated but still very sad for a loss of a life. It also makes us aware how much our team means to us. At the end of the game I ran upstairs and jumped on the bed, misjudged my leap because I was loaded and smashed our bedroom TV. My wife was seriously pissed because she was watching CIS New York.
The worst injury I suffered after a Jets game was when I sprained my wrist punching the ground after our loss to the Steelers in '05.
Dumb...sad but dumb. Had an extra drink after the game at the sports bar and stayed away from the edge of the platform on the subway ride home. I intend to watch the Jets melt the Steelers this week.
I just wanted to say sorry for the loss of a fan. I always want the Jets to lose, but I never like to hear this. My condolences, and here's to a safe rest of the season for your team and fans.
classy pats fan. as much as we hate each other regarding football, we stand united when it comes to the things that matter most in life.
This really hits home for me, considering that I decided to celebrate the Jets win with a drunken sled ride. Of course my odds of getting hit by a car on a golf course in New Hampshire are lower than the deceased's were, but it still makes you think.
