Yeah...The thing of it is...NE got it right. Once they had Weis, they just kept the playbook and tweaked it accordingly for the personnel. I fail to grasp how a complex organization does not do that very thing. You either get an Coordinator that is never going to be a HC (Tom Moore, LeBeau) or you institutionalize the playbook and make changes accordingly, and if that means you have to promote from within rather than grabbing a 'name' OC, you do it.
The only way Scotty goes is if Callahan gets the gig. The CBA soap opera pretty much ties the hands of making any moves that involves bringing in a new coach.
