He's WR sucked early but they were in the game and on track when Brees on he's own melted down and blew the game out for Chicago.

Thats pretty much how I saw the game. Plus the fumbles and poor o-lineplay didnt help either. I cant complain though because they eliminated the Eagles, and I f'n hate Philly.

This is a misleading statement. Brees has been to the playoffs twice, so lets not paint this picture that hes Peyton Manning(pre superbowl win of course) and constantly gets bumped out of the playoffs.

Unless Peter King is rating the best cheesesteak, I don't know why anyone would pay attention to him.

I would take Pennington over McNair. McNair showed me nothing this year. He is done.

I think this list is right on... except for Bulger being so high, but maybe Peter King knows something we don't...

For the person who said that CHAD is better than DREW BREES??? Are you kidding me? There are MAYBE FIVE GMs in football who wouldn't swap their starter for Brees... I'm not sure there are actually ANY who would swap theirs for CHAD... If he was totally healthy, maybe 5 - 7...

Chad is far from the WORST QB to ever play the game (That might be Rex Grossman before long)... he is, however, BELOW AVERAGE, as his 16 INTS and 17 TDs in the most conservative passing offense in the league attest to...

So I take it you think Brees is better than Palmer and would swap Palmer for Brees if you could?

Not at all... I dont think the Pats, Colts, Bengals, and MAYBE Chargers/ Titans (merely because they have young studs w/ upside) would trade heads up for Brees... I think every other team would... Brees is a star NFL QB, plain and simple...

Michael Vick needs to learn how to throw the damn ball, and then, and only then, would he ever be considered a QB in this league. I dont consider him top 30 in the league at QB.

No rookie should ever be top 15 anything, ever.. It is like a rule, or something. :)

That list is bogus.. So I will put one together that looks retarded, but somehow better then his list. :/

    What a bad kid..

    1. Peyton Manning
    2. Damon Huard
    3. Drew Brees
    4. Donovan McNabb (When Healthy)
    5. Tony Romo
    6. Carson Palmer
    7. Marc Bulger
    8. Philip Rivers
    9. Tom Brady
    10. JP. Losman
    11. Chad Pennington
    12. Steve Mcnair
    13. David Carr
    14. Jake Delhomme
    15. David Garrard

Best QB Ratings of 2006. He did not come up with his list from that, so I wonder what kinda retarded formula he used. :/

Why is Brees so much better? To me they seem VERY much alike. Brees and Pennington have about the same arm strength (Brees being slightly better). Both rely on ther mental game on the field to perform well, and be succesful. They both were a huge part in turning a 3-13 (Saints) and a 4-12 (Jets) into a playoff caliber team in 06'. They both had unexpected WR's emerge for them in 06' (Colstin & Cotchery). They both played a very week schedule, and performed almost identical against winning record teams Vs losing record teams. They both had to rehab from injuries, and fight for their starting jobs.

So I really dont see where Brees has a HUGE advantage over Pennington. Nothing comes out and smacks me in the face when comparing the two. I also believe that the Saints have more overall talent then the Jets, and it is always easier to play better when your in the NFC. Just my view.

Brees led the entire NFL in passing yardage, and had significantly more TDS (26) than Chad, along with significantly fewer INTS (11) than Chad, who is in a MUCH more conservative passing game... Chad made a LOT of bad decisions this year... he single-handedly lost us at least two games... Brees didn't perform well in the playoff game against the Bears... But it was still a stellar performance when compared to Chad's game against the Jagz, who's D isn't even as good as the Bears anyway... Im not trying to be an ass or anything, but do you really think ANY NFL GM would even remotely consider for a second giving up Brees for Chad heads up?

Try...um...performance. That might be the area Chad loses to say Brees.

Otherwise...what does Montana have over Pennington? Both are similar types of QBs
