It wasn't taken out of context. King asked Revis what was going to happen in 2012 after he'd pocketed $32 million and Revis answer was that we'll probably be right back where we were this season.

I'd not focus on this at all if Revis would do the same. Apparently he can't.

So then the entire interview was one question with no lead or follow up inquiries?

Regardless of the feasibility of him actually doing this again in 2012, it was a douchebag thing to say. I can't say I'm surprised though.

That's not important. I'm not talking about the interview I'm talking about the one question and answer.

Yes, if this thread was about the interview in it's totality it would be silly to focus in on one specific interaction the way we are. However the thread is about the one interaction, so trying to expand our focus out to the entire interview is what's silly.

Yes it is, but why let that get in the way of your overreacting about one sentence on an NBC college halftime show.
The thread is about something Peter King said that Revis said. What's silly is the fact that this thread exists right now, or that it made it to five pages when the first two responses in the thread got it right.

Again, you're being disingenuous in suggesting that this thread is somehow manufactured or not relevant. King said that Revis said is news. You may wish it were not, but it is.

Now Revis could always come out and say that he was misquoted or that King misunderstood him or that King lied, etc. Somehow I don't see that as likely to happen. I would be very happy if it did but I somehow doubt it.

The interview, BTW, was on the Mich-ND game telecast yesterday and got a huge amount of exposure as a result. I don't like Peter King much but I doubt he'd have used the Revis comment without having heard it.

Future actions can usually be accurately predicted based on previous actions. 2 protracted holdouts in a very short amount of time pretty much says it all. This most likely won't be the last season Revis and 'holdout' are mentioned in the same sentence...

It means that when Peter King says that Darrelle Revis says something you can pretty much take it to the bank that he said it. This was not "people close to Darrelle Revis say" or "sources in the Revis camp say" or "people who should know say" or anything similarly wishy-washy in terms of sourcing. King says that Revis told him directly that there's a good chance he holds out again after pocketing the $32.5 million.

Well at least now you're arguing on grounds that we can all dispute equally.

I can see King and Fatcessa rubbing oil on each other while eating meatball parm, hating on the jets.

Was just watching some highlight show of today's game and they were discussing some headlines on the day... and they made the note that the Jets were "floored" by Revis' comments to Peter King. I guess making millions just isn't enough for King Revis. Couldn't just shut his mouth and play football now.

If he plays to his full capability in the next two seasons, then it will be easier to trade him.

Another holdout pretty much assures a trade if he plays this well again...It would net us a package as explosive as two #1's
