Yes, you relied on Vinnie as your backup QB.. ahead your current starter. It was only 2 years ago, you should remember these things.
He started for us like Brett Favre wouldve had he held off? I did not know that....I always thought Brady did.
Did anyone see King of on sunday night postgame on NBC this past sunday? Looked like he was about to cry over his favorite patsy brady went down. The guy is a homer through and through.
No... he was your backup. Favre would come in as a starter, just like Vinnie would if Brady was injured in 06. Your Patriots signed him though, so they clearly aren't above wanting an old INT machine. lol
I agree with King Dude! A lot of NYC sportwriters made this point (that Favre might have held out for a better team than the Jets in preseason), and it makes perfect sense. THis is why we must tip our cap to Mike Tannenbaum for signing Favre when he did. Look at all the teams with QB problems all of a sudden, and tell me that the Jets didn't do the right thing by signing Favre?
I think some..including King (what else is new) are missing the point. Favre didnt have time on his side. He had to report to camp to force the Packers hand. Now waiting for the actual season to start and HOPING something like this would happen to a contender? What if it was lets say...the Bills...or the Jags...or perhaps a middle of the road team. Would Brett hold out even longer hoping that it was one of the top 4 teams in the NFL? That...like most of Kings "thoughts" is absurd.
The real point fatso is missing is that Favre unlike Culpepper wasn't a Free Agent. He's a dumb fuck for even writing this stupid article.
Exactly RM. Thats the bottom line...and Kings biggest problem is that he eats....I mean speaks first..and then thinks.
Oh. So your the shmuck that keeps coming over here that TB Jets fan keeps screaming about. YOUR SIDE IS GOING DOWN BITCH! And you can take your blowjob S.I. Writter with you too. :gpc:
It would have been a great thing for King. He could have blown Belicheat and Favre at the same time. Sorry Pete, its our turn, the Pats run is over. We got him.
This message board has an interesting effect on me. There are so many reasons I want the Jets to win and the Pats to lose on Sunday but, somehow, for reasons I can't quite explain, Gorgen is now on the top of that list.
What is with the hate? Peter King is a fantastic columnist. I look forward to reading him every week on si.com. I just love how anyone who writes anything that could be perceived as anti-Jets for pro-Pats is a total moron/idiot/asshole/etc. I mean, since when is a guy bnot allowed to root for his home team any more? He's a Pats fan. So what?
I hope BF runs circles around your boy Cassell's performance this Sunday, because it will be fun to cram "the old INT machine" down your throat all next week (and rest of season). That is of course if you are man enough to even show your face next week if it does come to pass. Speaking of which ... I really need to go vist that Viqueens board and make some people eat their "We are 1,000,000% better with Tarvaris Jackson than an older loser and INT machine like Favre" that they were spouting there all August. Doubt they felt that way after Monday night. Same time, different channel
Peter King almost reminds me of these faggy pat fans who tend to frequent the boards before the games. He states some outlandish statement, and asserts it as true by appealing to the fact the patriots are "almighty" because they have won super bowls and everyone wants to play for them. He then makes up a little scenario in his head, about the by week, and further embellishes his perverted dreams to frame them as facts. The funny shit is we can stop reading it!
You know I heard he is actually banned from the Pats L/room due to some dispute with Belly. It was mentioned on ESPN. Also Stephen Smith from ESPN is a Belly robot. Hopefully you did not miss his crying act on Mondays Mike & Mike show
