if the other team is playing with class, I agree. If they start to run up the score, all bets are off.

 Who hasn't been wishing for injuries? I'm sure people hated Marino & Elway enough to wish for their demise. It may not be right but what else do you got to root for when nothing is going your way. Jet fans aren't the only ones who wish for injuries, you know. It's just something to hope as it's looks like the only way for them to be stopped, it's not like it'll happen just because someone wished it so. So get off your high horse and quit acting like you're so superior because of this, you hypocrites.

There is no "running up the score" in the NFL...you either stop, or get stopped. it is that simple. with the crazy comebacks teams have made over the years, why should any team leave points on the field? if you can score 7, you better score 7. if the defense has its pride hurt by giving up 60 points, then they need to use that kind of thing as motivation to execute and get the job done.

the guy on the redskins who cried about NE running up the score is a bitch. plain and simple. The point of offense is to put up points. if you can't stop the other team then have a coke and a smile and stfu. i have no problem with teams that have an objective, and go after it, and accomplish the goal. it isn't their fault that they cant be stopped. play some fuckin defense and get it done then.

this is going to come off as way too pro patriots, but i assure you i hate them.

i would rather see the jets lose on sunday and see NE go 19-0...as long as the dolphins go winless. if the dolphins get a win, it will ruin this season for me.

it is a perfect storm for miami....the 1972 dolphins get a can of STFU....no more champagne for shula and the boys. miami is the first non expansion team to go winlees (meaning they arent the Bucs). the fact that Jason Taylor is on this team is awesome. I need them to lose every week.

finally, and this is the thing that couldnt get screwed by wins and losses...dan marino is getting eradicated from the record books by brett favre. marino is a loser, and the records was all he had. now they are gone.

Sad. This is truly a sad POV.....and wildthing is not alone.

I don't recall any Pats fans wishing Jim Kelly would get hurt when they were hot....or Marino getting injured when he was kicking our sorry ass every year....

You are wrong about one thing.....some folks recognize a sport for what it is, and don't start wishing injury and harm to human beings jsut because their team is not doing well.

Love this quote. This is what being a man is about. If you get whipped, you suck it up and store that memory for the next time you step in the ring.

Oh give me a break with this nonsense, there are always fans that want a dominant player for a division rival knocked out, and if you think Pats fans are exempt then that taste in your mouth is probably from deep inside your own rectum. Your holier than thou attitude is wearing thin.

    Thats my dream.

I can respect what pats have done, especially since the NFL went and changed the rules on them after beating up on the Colts.

(I predicted he would go Don Coryell, before the season started...)

But that Classless act of Shula's has got to go.

Yes, there is, in fact, running up the score in the NFL.

When you are up by 3 scores and go for it on 4th instead of punting, you are trying to run up the score.

When you are up by 3 scores and go for it on 4th instead of taking the field goal, you are running up the score.

Everybody everywhere is predicting that the Patriots are going to come out in a frenzy for this game.

I am hearing that Mangini has the the Jets in an absolute diabolical mood. If anything I expect it will be the Jets that are in the face of Brady, Moss and anybody else that dares to get in their way. The score be damned, this may be more about payback for the Jets then it could ever be for the Patriots.

Again, I point to the numerous comebacks teams have made throughout the course of the NFLs history. "Running up the score" is a way to complain you arent good enough to stop them. Its an NFLs offenses job to put 7 up when they have the ball. Its an NFL defenses job to stop 7s from going up. When you cant stop it, man up and own it, and if you can stop it, man up and own it.

I dont buy into a "man" whining about how they didnt like getting beaten the way they did. it happens for 2 reasons, you aint good enough to get it done, or they are so good you cant get it done. either way, own it,. dont be a bitch and complain. step up, and own it.
