Ramsey is 2nd string right now John Abraham doesn't even have a real contract,and hasn't even signed his tag yet. Ramsey is frusterated with the skins,but would stay happily if we made him the starter. John Abraham by the sound of it hates the Jets,and wants to leave no matter what your insane if you think you will get a 1st round pick in this draft for Abraham.
I think Ramsey would be an okay pickup for a mid 2nd day pick, like maybe a 5th. The absolute earliest Id give up for him is KC's 4th rounder
i think some of us jet fans may be a bit optimisatic about that first rounder for abe......im satrting to feel maybe a 2nd and 3rd...or two years' worth of 2nd's.....we have no leverage....and hes a huge salary...that limits the takers and what theyll give up for him
I would only like this if we get at least a 2nd as well...If Ramsey works out great if not we are not tied into it for more than a year with his contract up next year. Pluse we get ride of 8.3 mill with abe and we dont have to find a vet qb or even draft one...we could beef up the o-line with the extra pick and even get some more depth a LB...Bobby Carpenter...this could be pretty nice and would only be gravy if ramsey works out
John Abraham has more chance of staying than Ramsey has of being made starter.Gibs gave an arm and a leg to get Jason Campbell and i'm pretty sure that if Brunell went down next season,Campbell will get the nod. Abe is pretty un happy here and i don't think he will be here next season,but what he really wants is a long term deal.If we offered him a long term deal then he'd probably change his tune. The signing of the tag is no real problem,once a deal gets worked out,he'll sign it and get traded,i believe it's as simple as that.I'm just praying he doesn't sign it before the cap deadline cause we would then be fucked.
Not to go off on abe but he will just quit once he "gets his deal" I cant wait to see it happen and I would love it to be the Skins

While at the combine the Postons slid the signed paperwork under Davis's hotel door. :rofl: new CBA=Ramsey stays 1 more year if we can't trade him,then the possibility of injuries give him a small chance of being a starter John Abraham is gone no matter what happens. re-signing him after he has bad mouthed the orginization would make the FO guys look like a bunch of pussies.
That is the nightmare scenario,I think it's 5 days to go though so fingers crossed. I still think Ramsey will be 3rd string,hell you said it yourself,Gibbs just flat out doesn't like his game. And hey,we accepted Coles back after all the bad things he said,i'm sure we could accept Abe back(Although i still think he will be traded).
Gibbs would still have Ramsey as the 2nd QB unless campbell looks impressive in training camp and preseason. Coles case is completely different than Abrahams. Coles wanted to go back,Pennington wanted Coles back,the majority of the team wanted Coles back.All Coles had to do was say sorry. the Jets don't want Abraham cause he will want more than they think he is worth.
we cannot include abraham in the trade for ramsey unless we are getting these scenarios: abraham for ramsey, 2nd rounder, 3rd rounder abraham for ramsey, lavar arrington, 4th rounder abraham for ramsey, 3rd rounder, 1st rounder next year otherwise i would just stop talking to the redskins management because its not worth it.. let them overpay for another teams players tho they like ours the best..
The Washington Redskins are a screwed up organization.Ramsey might be a great quaterback in a bad place? Gibbs went with age in Brunell go figure.Im ok with Ramsey in Jets uniform.The Redskins are also in salary cap hell so i dont think they can afford Abe. Lets offer them the 4th pick we got for the idiot coach who left.

are u serious?? abe is an elite pass rushing end.. schaub is a backup QB.. even if hes solid, thats not a fair trade.. would u do abe for gus frerotte?? he had a few huge games last year too.. if we trade abe to the falcons, then we would need at least a 2nd, maybe a 4th to go with it.. otherwise its not fair.. and jacobs in the 2nd?? who do u propose we take in the 1st? we really should take into consideration my thread on the QB, HB, and OL in order to start rebuilding this franchise offensively..
