I just don't see how you can think that Pennington is doing everything to get the job done. He has 6 TDs and 10 INTs in his last 8 games. He is not playing like a smart QB at all, as he has made quite a few bad decisions. Still, as I've said many times before, I am not agitating for him to be benched right now, since the team is still a playoff contender. To argue that he hasn't been a part of the problem for a while, however, strikes me as unreasonable.

And of course Manning is getting killed by plenty of people, including his coach. Having said that, one difference is that he's 25 years old and has only started 33 games in his career. If the Giants didn't think he had a lot of upside he'd be a lot less secure in his position.

    Not a funk

The problems Chad is having is not a "funk".
He is doing poorly with almost every pass that is not part of a practiced optimum.
If he is rushed or has to go to second and third receivers his accuracy drops dramatically.
It's obvious that he hasn't been practicing with a simulated or actual rush; or, he just can't handle pressure. He doesn't seem to get up for the game. He seems to be doing a "job".
Even though Chad is probably one of the 20 best NFL quarterbacks, if some of the backups of other teams had the protection he normally has they'd do better.
He's like a model showing off on a runway.
The perfect passing motion won't win many games.
We'll have too many games that will rely on the GAME PLAYING ABILITY of the quarterback. Trade Chad. Trade Chad now.

Chad is the smartest QB in the NFL? Really? So he makes better reads and decisions than Peyton Manning and Tom Brady? If that's the case, then intelligence sure is overrated, since they're damn good and he sucks.

they traded bolly, because somebody wanted him-he had trade value.
they can't trade ducky. with huard's recent performance in kc, not even that is available. if he gets cut, someone will gamble who needs a backup, but nobody will give you anything. at least washington and detroit were able to get a 6th for ramsey and harrington. but, those guys can throw with velocity and deep.

Yeah you are very perceptive. I think Pennington is as good as Peyton Manning and belongs in the HOF.
