Ok. Everyone calm down. No matter who had it coming or what. Let's ease up on the crudeness. Let the facts speak for themselves. Not banging wives or being a homosexual.
Mike Tirico just now on MNF: "There hasn't been a single first down via the run in this game" Score at the end of the second quarter: 0-0 There you have it.
Nope PF, I won't stop talking and neither should anyone else. Now go have yourself a good, long, sip of Chad juice and make plans for his comeback player of the year speech. I'll continue to wait and see how things shake out instead of getting all wild eyed over two games with 14 left to play..
Good. Just so you know Rookie, everyone here can either read or ignore posts. Ignore mine and its all good. Other than that, enjoy your stay here with us..
ever notice how the cultists break out the homo references and name-calling when you don't buy into the line of p.r. they're trying to peddle. no wonder they used to defend herm so fiercely.
Too bad the season is longer than 2 games... Perhaps they really need for Chad to return to his 2002 form. If he does, that's great. They would be wiser to pray Chad stays in one piece thru 16 games with a marginal Oline that can't run block. Every team we play is gonna be trying to see if Chad can take the pounding. With no running game, Chad is in a real predicament. The Upside? Should Chad survive and play 16 games behind THIS OLine, his injury issues should be behind him. Instead of 2-300yd games, they should think more longterm. Shame is, they don't...
This is football, not politics. There is no pr going on here. It is sad when you root against your own team. I thought that all you had to do was blitz and rush Pennington and he folds. What happened on Sunday???? He was harassed all day and completed 60% of his passes for 300 yards and two scores. To those who say that the Cotchery play was all Cotchery, were you at the game? Probably not. Because if you were you would have seen that Pennington made that throw after he got hit with a Patriot defender draped around his legs. And he threw a rope right on the money to Cotchery. As for running out of bounds before the half, I guess he should have dived and gotten nailed like Trent Green!!! Who would think that our punter would shank the punt. If Graham does his job, the Pats get the ball at the 10 with a minute left and run out the clock and go in 10-0. Is it Pennington's fault that the OL can't run block??? Was it his fault that the Jets couldn't convert on 4th and 1??? As for the and of the game, Vilma gets the Leon Lett award for costing the Jets 10 yards by picking up the blocked FG. Then you expect Pennington to drive right down the field - 90 yards with one minute left and no timeouts??? And you criticize him for throwing in the middle of the field when, if you were at the game you would have seen that NE was taking away the sideline. Let's face it - CMan and Mr Rain Man can't stomach the reality that Pennington has carried this team the first two games of this year. They can't bring themselves to admit how very wrong they were about Pennington. He is playing as well as he ever has. His arm is strong, his decision making is impeccable, he is hanging in the pocket, he is making reads, he is running a no huddle and passing out the shotgun, he is beating the blitz. In sum, he is doing everything they said he couldn't. So instead of admitting that, they come up with BS like YACs padding his stats or blaming a 24-0 deficit on him when the OL, running game, defense and special teams led to that 24-0 deficit.
No, believe me I do. I don't put that much stock into the first two games with him except that he has shown physically he is back and better than ever. My biggest concern now is can he remain healthy. He has taken some absolutely SHOTS so far and he's still in one piece. Perfect example...on the pass the Cotchery, he had Seymour (I believe it was) try to take out his knees and it was eerily similar to Carson Palmer last year. And what happened? Chad on one leg threw the ball 30 or so yards and made a nice pass to Cotchery and we know the rest... The only reason most of us point to his numbers these first 2 games is because it's our only defense to stupid fucks like Mr NyJet who root against the team and cream their pants at a Jets incompletion.
I think it's very fair to say large part. And we also do not have any sort of running game going for us. This all falls on Chad and his recievers.
Thank you for thinking long term BGF. The only thing this season folks should hang their Chadhats on is him completing the season, in one piece, behind a OLine that can't run block. 300yd games don't mean much in the big picture. His arm certainly has impressed me but again, its only been two games. Lets see how things look say, by game 12 or so..
the only 'stupid fuck' on here is you. the bottom line is he still can't beat a winning team. it was 24-0 after 3 qtrs. you can't play the titans every week.
