As has been noted, Chad had two full seasons as a college QB after Moss left. Scouts don't measure coat tails that long. Actually, there were several other Marshall receivers that went to the NFL on the back of Chad's stats. There is no shortage of fans of every team that thinks their QB stinks. Chad is a good QB. Plenty of SB teams have proven you get there largely on something other than reliance on a super human QB. Chad has what it takes to do his part if the rest of the team, on both sides, do their part as well.
Well... If we had Payton Manning we wouldn't have this discussion. At the same time a QB doesn't make Super Bowls. Dan Marino anyone?
Anyway you slice it, we still need a legitimate #3 WR that can take pressure off both Coles and JC. We don't have one presently and with JMac probably a June 1 cut, I hope we can luck up and find one sooner than later.
