Thank you. Chad and Randy had great chemistry on the field. When Moss was playing well in Minnesota, he had a positive impact on every aspect of the offense. His home run presence kept defenses honest which greatly benefited their running game and made the other receivers far more effective/prolific than they would have been without him.
Of course Chad wanted Moss. Randy is the only receiver that ever made him look like he had an arm. Chad can thank Randy for his being a 1st round pick. Randy would've been a 1st rounder no matter who was throwing to him.
I didn't say he had a shitty senior year, I said Moss made him look like he had an arm. Without those Moss-padded stats I doubt he goes in the first to the Jets.
i think chad only played 1 season w/ moss? i could be wrong...b/c it was over 10 years ago, but if my memory serves me correct in 95 chad started as a fresh b4 moss came... 96 redshirt...moss' 1st season w/ qb Kresser 97 chad and moss together...moss turns pro 98 chad alone 99 chad alone...5th in heisman
anyways... i was hoping we would make a move, but we didnt...o well at least if moss is a beast...it will force NE to choose between moss and samuel for the franchise tag next season
That is correct, 100%. The difference between Randy's two seasons is that in 96 Marshall was I-AA and won the national championship with Eric Kresser, and in '97 moved up to I-A, winning the MAC championship and going to its first bowl game in nearly half a century.
Shoot, we spent one on 'set the' barlow, that's like night and day in terms of skillz, randy at 4 is a steal no matter what happens...so we all would've loved to have him, alas, it was not to be...CHANSI STUCKEY!!!
Barlow was a big dissapointment. I'm glad I didn't make an investment in hid jersey. I allready hate lookin @ my blaylock.

My mistake, for some reason I remembered Moss having 2 season with Chad at Marshall. Maybe it was the number of Chad-to-Moss highlights they showed us when he was drafted. I guess I'm just bitter because it's been almost a decade and I still haven't seen him play well enough to earn the 1st round billing he came in with.
