Clemens did quite well with the same line against the RAVENS defense. 'nuff said.

You're wrong. We do have the personnel to open up the offense quite a bit. Coles and Cotchery are a very good 1-2 receiver combo. Believe it or not, there is time for them to get open down field. Open your eyes, don't let your man-love blind you.

man love? can you relate to this in some way? we have smurfs for receivers, with very little time for them to run big routes." we have time for them to run what route? " open your eyes to the problem, we were lucky last year, but our front office thought getting rid of a part of our line would put us over the hump. we scored a bunch of points on last years super bowl champ, we couldnt score at all against them this year, and chad is the problem. i'm glad you dont manage the team!

Our o-line is not great and can definitely be upgraded. I wanted to go Ben Grubbs with our first pick this season. I think they're better at pass protection than they're given credit for, not great, but not horrible either. It is run blocking where they really struggle.

This team is full of problems (NT, OLB, OL, QB), and Pennington is one of them.

"You consider Cotchery a Smurf?" is he a moss prototype? coles is definately a smurf, smith is a project, and mccantcatch, shouldnt be a jet. so how does cotch save us? and i actually love cotchery, a steal in his respective draft!!!

whiteshoeswillie i must say i agree with your last post, 100%. it is all a team thing, isnt it? a front office thing!

Coles is way better than you give him credit for. You don't have to be 6'5" to be a good receiver. We've seen him go up and get passes a number of times in traffic. He's also the #1 over Cotchery who you think is very good, so what does that tell you?

ouch, didnt mean to step on the man-love you feel for coles!!!! i will acknowledge he was a pro-bowler at one time, or am i incorrect? but he is not elite by any means, never was never will be. height at the position is a good thing, an even better thing if you can run and catch. what does all this tell me? our corps of receivers are doing what they do best, catch and run after the catch. maybe leon should try out for receiver he seems to get more out of some plays than others at times? a new #1 would be great move coles to the slot, and bang, we have the best slot league wide!!! just an idea, kick it if you want too?

Maybe if you quote enough the others may begin to understand.

I think we should all just accept that tbruner is a lost cause.

How is not doing enough to beat Ravens good enough. Sorry a loss is a loss .If your gonna blame Chad for the other 3 then Clemens would be at fault for the RAVENS LOSS

You also have to give him credit for the only 15 minutes of entertaining Jets offensive football this year. Pennington not only losses but he makes watching a football game a chore. This team isn't that good and it's getting a tad boring watching Chad run the play clock down while he is deciding which side of the field to throw a 5 yard pass.

I can't believe people are still arguing with tbruner. I tried for over an hour the other night. The guy says something, like calling all of our receivers smurfs. When you respond and show him how that opinion is wrong, he claims to have been discussing something entirely different. Now, all of a sudden, only Coles is a smurf. The others have flaws on their own.

If a smurf is anyone who isn't a Moss prototype, I suppose only Detroit and New England have non-smurf receivers. Marvin Harrison and Reggie Wayne are the best tandem in the league. They're each 6'. Donald Driver and Chad Johnson are the only receivers to tally 1200+ yards in every one of the last 3 years. Their heights? 6' and 6'1". The two league leaders in 2005? Steve Smith and Santana Moss. Nothing screams "Randy Moss prototype" like those two guys.

tbruner will never address what you say. He'll only put new words in your mouth. Dude's a moron.
