If he does hit free agency, I wouldn't mind him back in Jets brass (as a QB coach, maybe?) He will be a good influence to growing Mark. (I doubt if he would like to come back however)

What exactly would he be able to teach Mark? I don't hate Chad, but there really isn't anything he can impart on Sanchez.

On a second thought, you are right. Mark has been to the place Chad could only dream of - twice by his 2nd year, notwithstanding!

You can't pay a player that has no fucking chance to stay on the field if needed. Just start coaching, Chad

The only thing Chad has on Mark is a home playoff victory.

I like Chad but I'm not sure about this. If he can do it more power to him, hopefully somewhere I can root for him, ie not Miami. Love the way he fleeced them for some money, though.

BTW--Chad did well for us in the playoffs, got foiled by bad coaching and a rotten kicker or he'd have been in the AFCCG for us with a bum shoulder to boot.

Hmm, who's backing up Bradford? Freeman?

I'd take him as a back up.

    Mark...

Chad has had the benefit of the best QB coach in the game. Paul Hackett.

    He could teach Mark plenty.

Mark could be better than Chad and Gannon, with the right play calling, which leads to my second point.

He's also played for Henning, Hackett and Weis, as OC, and could teach Schotty enough to put him in the top tier of offensive play callers.

You bring him in NOW...and when/if Schotty gets another gig, you get to keep the same offense with someone running it that understand the High Percentage passing game, and likes to go deep.

It was working for Weis that made JMcD successful.

Why as a QB coach...so he can teach QBs that dinks and dunks are an acceptable form of an offense?

    Go back to 2002.

If Schitty employed enough dinks and dunks we'd have been the 1 seed.

In vaguely related news, Brooks Bollinger has announced his retirement from pro football this week.

I really hope he makes it, and it's up on a team in the NFC. At this point I can't see him being more than a backup.

I really wish he never injured that shoulder. His career could have been so much more memorable. I will never forget that his injuries happened because he played the game hard.

What does his shoulder say about this?
