I take a productive guy any day of the week over a "character" guy. IMHO your priorities are way out of whack

Whatever flies your jet then. You should learn not to scream at someone who disagrees with you

Im not...Im sorry if I canme out that way, but this is why we are the Jets. We want the Lavars of the NFL but when we get one, JABE we have half that want him and have that hate him. They are producers, but this is the biggest team sport besides mabye water polo. So again, sorry, you have good points on this board usually. But Chad is not a cheerleader, he understands the game and is a student of it.

H'mm I am a season tix holder since 65 which is probably way, way, way before you were conceived. I was there for the 2 ups in NYJ history the championship game win vs Oakland in 68 & naturally SB3 in 1/69. I bet my son who is 35 is even older then you & he started going to games in 78. I really doubt you need to explain to me what we require to become a elite team in the NFL.

just because you are an aged wine does not mean you are a good wine...mabye that is a little to anolitical for you...dont use the time card on me it wont work. I just think we need to MAKE SURE he is all done before we let him go.
Like that old aged wine I just had, I needed to know what it tasted like before I could spit it out

Maybe this is what we need for Chad. Herm always said that Chad was his man no mattter what. So now he has to fight for the Job like in 2002. Sometime we become settle in that this is my job and i can do what i can to get by. Not that Chad has not given 100% but the fire mite have been renew with a coaching change. As far as the injury we will have to wait and see. Chad game is not the deep ball gunslinger that some of you want. I personelly think that Chad will be fine and we should pick Fergerson with our 1st pick...... Go Jets ,Go CP, and God Bless

Once the league caught up to him in that 02 PO game vs Oak he was never the same. He has "happy" feet as well & gets rattled easily in the pocket. You should be far more observant expecially about Penny. You do realize that Penny can make 1 threw & the stitches that hold his shoulder together can rip & bye bye season do you not realize that?

Yes thats why if you actually read the posts I would like him to come back in game 4-6 so the stitches are healed. I just dont want to throw the guy away....If we wait and dont let him come back too soon we could be fine. But we must make him wait, that was the true problem last year, he could not hold himself back. Herm did not help because he had zero control, but if we make him sit and wait till week 6 or even later he just could work out

Your missing my point no matter when he comes back he could rip those stitches holding his shoulder together on ANY throw & bye bye season again

so when YOU get punched in the face (probably many time to you) and get stiches, does the skin heal or if you rub it does it open. again 29 year old skin not 80 year old skin...come on a scar can heal stronger...you just dont like penny and you never will....get over it

There is no magic potion or ointment Chad can put on his arm to make it better no matter what Herman Edwards told him. The jets need a good qb a lot more then they need Rb. At this point I would love to see Vince young or Matt Leinart.Chad had no arm before surgery

Of course you are right. That is why Chad is such a big question mark right now.

But the same could be said about any player at any position. On any given play, any given player can tear up his knee, and it's bye bye season. That is just the way the game of football goes. Every play is a risk for every player, whether it's Chad or not.

Nobody knows, but somehow whatever seems to follow it always turns out to be incomprehensible crap.

Chad takes to long to learn an offense, and he takes a few games to throw off the rust. So if your right we may have him back by game 8 and that is only if everything goes perfect. Yet we will still be have a weak armed fragile QB who we paid $9 million more to and would still cost around $9-$12 million against the 2007 cap if we released him.

Take the cap hit now and part ways.

One thing that shows just how bad he can be is the fact that he played the shotgun all through college but every time he tried it last year he fumbled the ball. He has lost his comfidence and I have lost mine in him long ago.
