I thought I'd have to defend the BS posts from the anti-ND crowd. That ND is lucky to be wining this game or somthing..... PS Has been running the ball great. ND has been throwing the ball great. Walker is picking up a bit and ND's defense came together in the 2nd quarter to wear down Penn State's defense. Quinn is playing great overall and Carleson just took over Fasano's place as the man!
F*cking hell, I don't care that I'm a Giants fan, these god damned Manning commercials are driving me up a wall. I'm almost at the point where I hope they both get hurt and Lorenzen carries to team to a win.
I was honestly just thinking the same thing. If I see one more Manning home movie, I'm going to snap and break something shatterable.
Oh, and one more thing. "The match-up you've all been waiting for. . . " WHO?!! Who's been waiting for that match-up?! No, really. I need to know. I need to find the person that's been craving this game, such that the network finally was generous enough to make it happen. I need to find that person and plant him or her in the grill of my car.
So where are those posts about the Notre Dame defense? The talk about Brady Quinn not being a great canidate for the Hiesman? Go back and read the posts in the GT game thread. Very comical. How about ND just open a can of whoop ass on big bad Penn State. 41-17 ND goes 2-0.
I think after this, ND should move back into the top-3, maybe top-2.. One of the two top-2 teams is going to lose tonight; and if its a blowout, the loser will fall down a decent chunk of spots
THis was my first ND home game. Can anyone who watched the game on tv tell me if the crowd was loud? Personally, I thought it was loud as hell, but it's hard to tell if you guys got that on TV. Go irish!
Very, very poorly played game played by my team today. As Dino said, Notre Dame flat out was not stopping the running game today, especially Tony(except the fumble). But, our OC got bored and tried to be fancy and it just didn't work out like running the ball did. A lot mistakes is what really buried our grave: 2 dropped interceptions by the end zone that led to ND field goals in the first half, missing that ball when the ND punt returner muffed it, that downfield chop block that brought back the 30 yard Tony Hunt screen play, etc., etc., etc. For once, Joe Paterno's team was not ready to play today and our excellent CS was outsmarted by Charlie Weis. Like I said a few days ago, a lot of this game relies on Anthony Morelli's performance. He really didn't use his arm strength effectively, and it was another thing that hurt us. Well this game needs to go behind us, and we need to go back to the drawing board. We get a creampuff in Youngstown State next week to beat up on, and then it's on the the very strong Big Ten play. It was a very good amount, but nothing like Michigan/Penn State/Ohio State crowds (I guess thats what happens when we all seat 100+ thousand) Would dominate most teams in loudness, though. Unfortunately, Ohio State is making Texas look bad in their own house, so they'll be dropping like a rock to the 7th or 8th spot. USC was idle this week, so I don't know how many voters will put USC 2 and ND 3 because USC didn't have a chance to show themselves this week. They'll definitely be in the top 3, and very close or in the 2 spot.
Sounds like a plan to me. We kind of had an undefeated season under Collins, so I guess you're predicting one in the 2007 campaign.
