i still think the OL issue will get addressed in the late summer as we will most def snag an unhappy cut, or a "talent" cut.....we got kendall this way, and i have a feeling we can get his replacement too. chris neole is very unhappy with jax as they renegotiated the other starting guards contract and kept him in the cold. hes a solid player....who knows, maybe we swap unhappy campers....(mind you, this is a best case, most unlikely trade) im sure the FO will do it this august and get at least 2 interior linemen in here....
Even if we grabbed gaither this was a rebuilding season....we are another Free agency period and draf away from being true contenders. The good news is, w/ our CS and young playmakers we already have, we are very competitive and likely will make the playoffs.
Neither was Barlow, and we gave up for a 4th for him. I really like Bender, but Gaither could be a monster in the future.
do we know what happened to the ot/og from Nebraska, Patrick. It seems like if someone hasnt signed him, he would be a low risk camp signee right now.
