How do you figure? They, NE, get another 2nd round pick # 35 overall as well as their own 1st (late in 1st) and their 2nd....thats 3 picks in the top 50! And guess what, most likely the 2ndrounder from KC will be a starter and cost way less than KC's 1st or a QB sitting on the bench! I would have rather seen them give NE the 3rd oerall then they would have to pay! Face it....KC just got run
Matt Cassell? The Pats just traded Matt Cassell to the Chiefs for a 2nd round pick. http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/20...28/chiefs.trade.for.cassel/index.html?eref=T1 I was wondering if we should contact the Chiefs to make an offer for Cassell? He knows the Patriots, is familiar with the AFC East, and is a young and proven QB. Thoughts?
The chiefs just stole those two guys - I assume that Pioli had something worked out prior to leaving for KC as their GM.
How is he proven? 1 year does not make him a proven QB. Do you really think the Chiefs would even consider trading him?
Thanks Pioli A 2nd round pick gets KC both Cassel AND Vrabel? Obviously NE didn't have high value on them...my feeling that the deal is such a steal that I would scream tampering if I were the Chargers or Raiders. Oh well, glad they're outta the division
At first I thought it was good for the Pats cause it was a 3rd overall pick, then i found out it was 34th pick and laughed.
I think you need stop making pointless threads. KC traded for Matt because they needed him. Not because they wanted to be on the first page of all newspapers. And here you are suggesting lets try to trade for Matt Cassell.
Aside from the fact that it's not even a possibility, KC got him because they needed a QB, not to deal him off again. But after watching Cassel, I firmly believe he is vastly overrated and this will be exposed when he plays next season. i am glad we did not end up with him.
