Brady sucked with deflated balls (footballs, that is). His penalty should be playing the rest of his career with deflated footballs.
If thats it then the NFL will face a sht storm. It would prove Brady and the Pats dont need to play by the rules. If I could cheat, win a SB and get that kind of fine, I'd do it every year.
that would be a harsh penalty for such a minor issue and the only reason Brady will be suspended is b/c he lied.
Two different stories today quote "insiders" that say a year suspension is still on the table although no one thinks that will happen. Still it seems to say they are taking this as seriously as they should be. Here is one of them http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/eye-on...m-brady-could-be-suspended-for-up-to-one-year BTW, didn't Troy Vincent play for both the Dolphins and Bills?
There is a better chance we win the next 10 SBs in a row w/ Geno Smith as our QB than Tom Brady being suspended a year.
I would be stunned if it was 8, a little surprised if it is 4. I think 2 max and likely 1 but we'll see.
You really dont know what your talking about. You may be right about the punishment, but this is a serious/premeditated infraction of the rules that was likely paid for by Brady with signed memorabilia and most certainly gave Brady an edge, as he advocated for the rule change himself. The fact that they didnt make available witnesses for testimony or Brady electronic chats make the Pats look like a mob family defending against a RICO case.
Brady's agent aimlessly punching holes in the report, petty stuff plus he attacks the Colts and the integrity of Ted Wells and the league. He says they have financial ties and it wasn't an unbiased report. This is pretty serious stuff and the usual no class attitude of the Patriots. Looks like Brady after a great weekend is desperate. I hope they sock it to him.
Basically what I heard today on ESPN was that there will be a decision on discipline very soon. Not today or tomorrow probably but soon.
