    Perfectly stated.

And the asinine "everybody else does it" is, well, laughable.

If you don't mind being merely "great", that's fine.

But if you want to be considered the GOAT, you have to be beyond reproach.

Did he really though? Expressing remorse isn't exactly the same as using a formal apology

I can understand Pats fans making excuses of that sort. Kind of like members of the German SS talking about other members engaging in atrocities. But no real Jet fan would contenance such nonsense.

Especially not in Japanese standards, an apology is a very important thing in Japanese culture, remorse is nice but nowhere near an apology.

I agree, the public response by Kraft and Brady's agent are almost like they are daring the league to take stern action.

Yep. They probably hope to intimidate the league into giving light penalties, but the public and obvious manner they are proceeding by will I think have the opposite effect. Particularly galling to the league must be that they paid this high priced law firm, one that has done a lot of work in the sports field, as the best firm to conduct the investigation. And now Kraft and Brady's agent are dumping all over the report with no substance to support them. They are asking for it.

They were daring the league to investigate, too. At some point bluffing with bad cards hurts you where it counts

A little contrition and accountability would truly help their cause, but that is not The Patriot Way. Fucking cheaters

So far Tommy's pops, sister and agent have come out defending him. Has Giselle gone Ape shit on the media yet? What about his 8th grade algebra teacher? When can I expect a statement from Sister Mary Elephant?

Do you really think a 6th round scrawny kid who was slated to be a bench warmer become a HOF'er without all these smoke and mirror tactics NE has employed over the past 15 years???

He's a fraud, built fraudulently, by a fraud himself.

One year is an overkill and it would show again that Roger doesn't know what he's doing. For this offense to me: for Brady a million bucks and 2 games. And as for the "innocent" Belichick and Kraft: what about next year's 1st round draft pick, a million each, a two game suspension on Belichick and Kraft is banned from any involvement with the team until after their first two home games. And he has to apologize.

I think it was a perfect storm for the Pats. They had a guy in Brady who wanted to do anything and everything to win and a coach in Belichick who was smart enough to know what loopholes they could exploit to their advantage that other (honest) teams weren't even remotely considering. It's not like Brady has zero skills or anything but I highly question all of the accomplishments him and Belichick accomplished together as I think they have been scheming together for years to do whatever it takes to win.
