in the details of the report findings yo will read that they cheated against Baltimore (deflating) per the texts.....The Championship should be rescinded. and vacated. If they don't do that, at least note it legally that it's *
Alright, I'm reading this and I'm thinking back to the Pats forums where they legitimately thought they would be getting the 6th pick for the Jets' tampering. I'm not gonna let myself look as stupid as they did. Realistically, Brady will be fined $100,000 and/or suspended 1-2 games. The Patriots will be fined $250,000 and lose their 4th round pick for failure to cooperate with the investigation. Ball boys get canned. I'd absolutely love to see more than that but I don't think it's possible, I'm not gonna get my hopes up.
if what you are saying is true- and it very well might be what happens.. look for the fired ball boys to throw Brady & Belichick under the bus the first chance they get. They will be the ones getting screwed the most and if they lose their jobs they will have nothing to lose anymore. That ball boy that called himself "the deflator" will have an ESPN or 60 Minutes special in no time!
No. 1 on the list (for me) would have to be an apology from Kraft. An apology for asking for an apology. Not going to happen. And he's been distancing himself from this brouhaha (ha ha ha ha ha) from the very start claiming innocence. And the report exonerates him and Belichick and the organization except for 3 guys. This is very hard to believe.
The part that could destroy Brady is if they can confirm that he was paying and giving free merchandise/autographs to the guys for deflating the balls, which the texts insinuate. That would be grounds for a much bigger punishment, it's full on corruption.
+1000 Too bad Tommy wouldn't cooperate with the investigation. Full cooperation with the investigation my ass. _
I didnt notice it in the 243 page report, but did the investigators ask to see Belichicks or Krafts phones? If not, why not?
I agree completely. How much do you think those guys get paid btw? the assistant equipment manager and the officials locker room attendant... certainly not enough to think they'd willingly take the fall and be silent
Have either of them been fired yet? That is an interesting twist. If they get fired do they sign or will they be paid off? If they aren't fired how to the Patriots explain that away?
Belichick is smarter than that. He communicates through riddles and carrier pigeons. Some ppl were saying Bellichick told Aaron Hernandez to get a safe house lol Straight scum
Not fired yet but I'm guessing Kraft will claim ignorance... he will say they were "duped" and those 2 will be fired. Upon which moment I hope someone gets them on the phone immediately for an exclusive interview. That McNally already seemed pissed at Brady over the situation while it was happening, judging by the texts
They've probably already gotten a nice tidy sum of money from the Myra Kraft Foundation stuffed under their welcome mats months ago, simply a donation for their children's college funds, even if they don't have children because, well, you never know
Yeah, he was on ESPN Radio yesterday with Michael Kay and he could barely control himself. It's hard to understand him usually but he was all hyped up and was almost unintelligible. But to be fair, he made some really great points from what I could discern of the interview _
Yes. Every cloud has its silver lining. I know it is easy for Jet fans to be critical of the Pats. But in fact organized cheating undermines not only the integrity of the game but also cheapens it. It makes following pro football a less valued experience. And that is what the Pats have done, to the detriment of all football fans. But at least this development means we can shitcan the Brady is best talk. Brady's willingness to cheat shows that he himself felt he could not compete to a level of his own satisfactoin without cheating. I will take his own behavior into account in judging him. Would he still have been a great Qb if he didn't cheat? Probably. But the net effect is we can't say how much lower he would have fallen if he had not benefitted from a series of cheating scandals. And let's not forget how he first came to prominence thanks to Walt Anderson's ridiculous application of the Tuck Rule.
The Sean Payton sentence is really coming back to bite hard at this ruling. Beli needs to serve some time too. Under his umbrella ... 'Ignorance is not an excuse'. 2nd major offense... Beli needs a vacation.
Yea the tuck rule was BS in that situation, it would be akin to a game 7 NBA semis game coming down to lane violation putting the ball back in a teams hands when they were down 2 with 4 seconds left. Yeah it's a rule but it's not something you decide a game with
