I wasn't planning on taking my 9yo to another game this season but at 4PM while the cold weather is still manageable, it became an option. He absolutely HATES the Patriots, so if the Jets pull one out of their asses, he will probably remember this game forever. We expect them to get destroyed, so he's only going for the chance to see Brady get hammered... but you never know. Here's to hoping they show up to at least one more game this year.

    I agree. They won't lose by 50, it'll be more like 30

This is for no other reason than the Jets SUCK this season and this game will be an unquestioned beat down. As Jets fans are we even still entertained by this team or this coaching staff??? The product is shit and anyone that is a Jets fan knows this. It's actually hard to sit down and watch a game. The product has suffered for two reasons in my opinion:

    1) The talent level is actually far WORSE than anyone anticipated. Prior to the season, I believed the neglect of the OL would be the ultimate undoing of the offense. I also believed that the acquisition of Darron Lee would not help the team at all this season. None of that can be argued, it is true as charged. I said after the draft that the Jets needed an every down player that would immediately start making contributions from day one. Darron Lee is not that player and he never will be playing in a 3-4 base defense.

However, it was actually Elias?? as I recall that asked prior to the season if the secondary would be OK? I thought at the time that they would be fine and boy was I ever wrong? Good call Elias. But once again, I don't know if anyone could have seen how far and fast Revis would fall from grace?

    2) The coaching is the worst I have seen in years. Todd Bowles was always IMO just another retread coach in a carousel of bad coaches that Woody hired. Even I never thought he would show bad he is this soon? Bowles is literally Rich Kotite bad. Every single good thing about this team coming into this season (DL, WR) Todd Bowles has curiously made to look amateur over this season. Thje WR's have never been able to fill the gap left when Decker went down. There's really no excuse for this. This team has a lot of talent at WR.

DL - Not only have they been pushed around for most of this season with a few exceptions (LA, Cincy), but they locker room distractions now from Sheldon and Mo. I can almost understand Sheldon, he's been a problem in the past. But Mo is simply never been that kind of player. It appears to me that the Jets best player does not respect the HC enough to obey his rules?

From top to bottom this team is GARBAGE. Now, I do NOT blame Bowles for all of this. Mike MacCagnan has most certainly played his part in this. His decision to sign Clady as a replacement for D'Brick has blown up in his face and has exacerbated an already bad OL. Clady wasn't very good when he was healthy, but now he's out for the season.

Wasting a 1st and 2nd round draft choice on a situational and developmental player respectively, has killed this team this season. Everyone and their brother knew this team needed OL help. Instead Mac decided to completely ignore the OL needs and go for a player that has not improved this team this season and will even so much as make a pro bowl. However, there were players in the draft that would have fit that bill for the Jets. He also selected a long shot QB that more than likely will never even win a game for this team.

All of this while knowing that the Jets 1st 6 out of 7 opponents were playoff teams from last season. This, while knowing that the Jets only beat ONE winning team per season the last two seasons running and probably will go winless against winning teams this season.

So there's no doubt the dirty end of the stick gets pointed at BOTH Mac and Bowles. But at least IMO Bowles infractions and inability to coach was far worse than what Mac has done wrong.

This is why I think Bowles should be FIRED after the season. Mac should stick around knowing that he shoulders some blame for this total debacle.........

Maybe, but the Pats are having their own problems now. Gronkowski is hurt and their defense has been pretty bad against the
    pass.

That may very well be. Can't say I pay enough attention to know either way? But the outcome of the game is still not in doubt. Maybe you are underestimating just how bad the Jets are? They f*ckin stink like I haven't seen since the mid 90's. They are TERRIBLE. If not for a good DL and good WR's this team would be worse than the mid 90's teams.

The Patsies will annihilate us right from the very start. The Jets may keep it close and I would not be surprised if they did, they normally always do give the Patsies hell. But the outcome of the game is NOT in doubt. The Jets are the bottom of the spectrum and the Patsies are at the top.

And honestly I must confess I hope they do lose. Winning against the Patsies only gives homer fans a false impression of this team. They stink and they cannot beat winning teams. They need change in the worst way that hopefully starts with the coaches. I want them to lose out and get the very best pick they can.

The games just aren't any fun to watch any more. The product sucks so bad that it's hard for the fans to sit down and root for this team. That is what I have been feeling any way.........

P.S. It's always fun sh*tting on Patsy fans after the Patsies inevitably lose before winning a SB. They have never won a SB without a shut down corner and they do not have one right now............

At least we get to fuck over the Pats by denying them the prime time slot.

My first thought was why would you want an extra loss in a fresh season, but then I quickly realized there's no reason the team is going to suck any less next year...so fuck it I'm on board.
