the worst problem with our running game is now gone and hopefully he took his concepts of 1) using Tomlinson as a first and second down power running back and 2) giving up on the running game after about two minutes to have Sanchez throwing the ball 61 times a game
I do like the fact that Sparano is an OL guy at his roots, which is why I'd have also been ok with Callahan. Whatever plays we call they need to be blocked or they won't work. And stop the fucking false starts already.
The thing I really like about Sparano over Callahan is that he has fresh eyes on the talent on the line. He's not connected to any of them in any way and he can make honest evaluations of where they stand in terms of their ability to do the job.
This is true, especially for Slausen. Callahan had a vested interest in seeing Callahan succeed, having coached him at Nebraska and having told management that Slausen was ready and capable of replacing Alan Faneca. If nothing else, Sparano will take a fresh look at the talent on the OLine.
Hmm..exactly. Out in Sunny San diego in the AFC west i'm sure Schotty's system would work just fine. But not in the northeast. In the AFC east. With a team built for those cold weather physical battles.
