They just did with Favre, Jenkins, Sheppard, and Sanchez...

This regime is making me happy with the aggressive moves. But PacMan?

the same gamble the cowboys took and found out wasnt worth it. when the cowboys are turning down players due to character issues it tells you leave them the fuck alone.

lets get rae carruth in here, were thin at WR

nobody fears a player whos a walking liability to be permanently banned from the NFL.

not to mention i dont think hed beat out sheppard or obviously revis. so wed be signing up a nickelback with more arrests than interceptions. (dunno if its statistically true but i wouldnt be surprised lol)

and im not all for having a good guy image. im all for having football players who realize football in the NFL is a job and a privelege, and hes proven he doesnt realize it numerous times.

i thought it was a good time to take the chance on him when the cowboys did. if he was so damn talented and had his shit together hed have been so good and worth keeping DAL couldnt get rid of him.

    well, they did.

It's actually more than double. And I doubt he'd beat out Lito or Revis or even Lowery for a roster spot.

yeah, I preach common sense. we will obviously agree to disagree. and attitude at the CB position doesnt mean shit. your talking like hes a LBer or a physical position where cockiness and agressiveness mean anything.

or like hes done anything in recent history to warrant this amazing bravado he supposedly has.

and im all about this team winning, and last time i checked we have an amazing core group of motivated, confident, and good players.

besides, jenkins and scott provide enough attitude for two defenses so i dont think we need to worry about a field presence.

regardless its obvious we just disagree. im not calling pacman untalented im just saying if he was ever gonna learn and move on it was going to be last year. and on a team thin in CB depth they still let him go.

were not in sore need of a PR and we loaded up on CB's he wouldnt even start here.

It's a risk, but we could be getting a very talented player on the cheap. We don't have to give up any picks, and if he misbehaves, all he cost was money, and probably not a whole lot of money at that.

Lito was also a malcontent in Philly that got caught in a pissing match with Reid, he's a veteran and a two-time pro bowler and could still be a very good player. Pacman has 25 career Pdef and 4 career INT. I wouldn't be totally against bringing him in, but I doubt he'll bring much to the team and has the potential to be a huge detriment.

I'm almost positive Pacman would sign an incentive based contract. If he fucks up, he'll lose most of his cash.

The guy is the laughing stock of this league. Things can't get any worse for this joke of a player. He's got all the talent in the world - he just has to mature.

Some of you guys are comparing him to fucking Rae Carruth...a guy who shot and killed his pregnant girlfriend with a shotgun. That's a bullshit comparison, no matter what Pacman has done in the past.

    Proving my point even more.

I'm not saying, "Hey, let's go out and get Pacman Jones!" But I am saying it's absolutely an option we should consider.

    Just say NO to Pacman!

    A few reasons:

    - All that baggage and like Coach K said, if Dallas backs away from a player due to character issues, then STAY THE FUCK AWAY

    - Jones is more of a big playmaker and a gambler than a shutdown corner. He would be a big time liability in our scheme trying to always make a big play rather than the safe one

    - Considering our depth at CB we wouldn't need Pacman, as he would be lower on the depth chart following Revis, Sheppard, Lowery and Strickland

+ We wouldn't need him even as a punt returner, as we've got Leonhard and Leon. Hell, even Brad Smith and Cotch could return punts in case of emergency

I completely agree with you on this.

Rex Ryan isn't going to dwell on past mistakes like Eric Mangini did. There's no such thing as a "Ryan guy" - he just gets guys that can play...and we all know that Pacman Jones is a hell of a talent.

FIRST: Pacman Jones would not be behind Donald Strickland on this depth chart. They're not on the same level in terms of talent.

SECOND: Leonhard has been named the Jets' punt returner by Ryan...but Jim Leonhard is going to a starter on this defense. He's a proven player - we don't have a rotational, proven player like Abram Elam anymore to sub in and out. Emanuel Cook was a heck of a signing, but he's unproven. Eric Smith is a joke.

Leon Washington is a great KICK returner, not a great punt returner. He'll have a pretty big role in the 2009 offense. Why use him as a PR when we have someone that does it better?

    Brad Smith? Really?

THIRD: Why in the hell would you want Jerricho Cotchery to return punts? Right now, he's this team's #1 receiver.

As return specialist and as a nickel or dime corner, Jones would be a nice addition.

He may not be the best role model, but who's going to follow him now? No one in the right mind would look up to this guy.
