No way Jose.........Kellen Clemens was terrible in his brief stint as JETS QB.In all aspects of the game. (regardless of the o-line) Ratliff is the choice. Hes bigger and stronger and has a better arm. I will support whoever is the QB though as I want to WIN........

    Your pirate opinions are irrelevant.

    Meanwhile,

Clemens is not that bad, and has developed over the past few seasons. Even if it comes to Ratliff, I will feel extremely comfortable with Clemens at back up.

Except for Erik Ainge, I think our quarterbacks sound good.

yea i agree with this.....football is 10% physical and 90% mental....cliche but real true

i was the best runningback on my old high school team since my freshman year but i didnt start until my junior cause i couldnt get down the intricate pass blocking system......junior year, i came in and finally got the hang of it and i was all state the next too years

I don't know if Clemens and Ratliff have talent and how much they have... but one thing is for sure: This offseason is the chance of a lifetime for them and they will never be as motivated as they will be in the upcoming month.
If talent doesn't break through now it's because they don't have it... otherwise (like I think and hope) they'll show what they are able to do (or at least one of them will).
My guess is Clemens will start the first 5-10 games for sure.. after that if he plays poorly they will give Ratliff a shot. This of course unless Ratliff is stellar in TC...

PS I think the message with R Ryan is (not only with our QB): "I don't care who you are, go out and give it all you've got... if what you have is enough you'll get a chance to prove yourself on the Big Stage."
And I think Ryan is the kind of coach that really brings out all the talent possible out of a player... from a motivational point of view of course.

Here are the two things that I am looking at right now are the things BR showed in the preseason where he showed some promise of being a starting QB. The things that I am looking at for KC is the games he did play in the 2007 season.

Especially the Baltimore game where he tried to lead a comeback against the ravens. I remember Rex Ryan (this is while he was still with the ravens) talking about about KCs gameplay in that game and that he has some potential and he liked him. So maybe he still holds those same thoughts on him.

I still feel that either of those QBs can do it for us they just need the playing time and getting Favre slowed down their progression.

I would have rather lost those games we won with either KC or BR then with Favre. Getting Favre was the worst move we could have made last season. Because we still lost the season by not making it to the playoffs. Should have lost those games and while still getting the starts these young QBs should have gotten.

Then we would have been higher in this years draft with a chance to trade that pick for multiple picks and still be able to get a possible QB, WR and RB in this years draft.

If we didn't get Favre Pennington would still be here.

Maybe that would have been a good thing I think because at least I think we would have made the playoffs and we wouldnt have lost a draft pick. Rather then dumbing up plays so Favre would feel comfortable or pennington could have played bad enough benched him. We will never know especially with that hit that Favre took that messed up his arm or shoulder, that was Chad he probably would have gotten injured for the rest of the season.

Why, because he sounds a little slow? I've actually heard good things about what he can do on the field. He probably doesn't have much of a chance for starter, but I'd be surprised if he was bumped to the ps. Have you ever heard Marc Bulger talk? Not a smooth talker that one either.

I'm not sure interviewing ability is really any indicator or QB ability cause nobody is more awkward than Eli Manning... I mean he even plays with that deer in headlights look and still gets the job done.

    My take:

Kellen and his lazy eye looked like a man who is waiting for the ax to fall. He tried to look confident and cocky, but if fell flat.

Eric is the least experienced pro, but the best polished after coming out of college and still has that dazed looked on his face. Also he looked frail and like he could use 30 pounds. Give him another year.

Brett has the look of a Star QB, gave the answers without the cockiness. He looks huge compaired to Kellen and Eric. He has the look that will have women and young girls buying jerseys. This is the guy that will fill the seats.

Side note, they had the highlight below Kellen showiing 5 TDs and 1 Int, when it should have been 11 Ints. Unless they ment last year, in which it should have been 0 Tds and 1 Int. He must have kissed some serious ass to get that stat f@ckup.

You're over-analyzing it and seeing what you want to see.
