thats correct, i am laughing hysterically that this is coming up again, the week of opening day. ike i said, so much better for the organization to have to answer to this every few years than for it to be put to bed and a side note in history.
I think today's news take some of the shine off the DO YOU JOB documentary and paints in in a better light. DO YOUR JOB......CODE RED GET IT
One way to conclusively establish how little you care about this subject is to make thirty posts in this thread since this morning.
I don't really find systematic cheating over the course of at least 7 years in my favorite sport, "funny". no.
Who is acting crazy? Me or you?? I'd be willing to bet that you'd lose a face to face meeting debate on the entire cheating scandals.
While I have a grudging respect for Tom Brady, it has for some time now been tempered by a recognition that the portion of his success that was due to cheating is essentially unknowable in any exact sense. But the new reports move the range of success all the way back to his first SB, and that in effect means that while the exact extent cannot be determined, we know it was substantial, and more so than before. All along of course we as fans did not know for how long the Pats had been cheating. But I do recall when Spygate first broke that many noted Mangini seemed to be alert to it due to his knowledge derived from personal experience as a member of the Pats CS. Perhaps we should have noted as the OTL report in effect supports that Mangini only focused on the videotaping of Jets' signals, at the Meadowlands, because he felt the Pats were not only cheating but disrespecting him personally. It is almost certain now that Mangini knew at the time that the Pats were doing a lot more than videotaping, but then if he had said so it would have tainted his own record as a member of that organization. That frankly did not occur to me at the time. The other thing, though, about Mangini is true. The Pats had been cheating for years. Anyway, I think this does harm Brady's reputation very much. And remember Pete Rose could play baseball. On the stats he very much should be in the MLB HoF. but he's not. Maybe Brady dosent get in, either.

Patriots and Brady's reputation is trashed. You can put the genie back in the bottle. Go Steelers
I love the thread, are you kidding? I never made that claim. I'm not going to defend them because I don't have to. It's enough to know you'll ride the ESPN horse wherever it wants to take you on the consolation ride.
Yes, but with all the publicity on this right now i bet someone somewhere has the inside scoop and is shopping it around. This is exactly the kind of thing Deadspin pays god knows to the ball boys to blow the lid off everything. Just to be clear i am not saying they are 100% guilty, i am stating that if they are guilty and it is as wide spread as is being reported the likely hood of someone formerly of the Pats organization stepping forward for a quick payday or with an ax to grind looms larger then ever before.
where did i say ironic? i know you guys like to play the jeaousy card and most dynasties are hated, but the yankees, probably biggest dynasty ever, are not having to answer for their 'ships. so spare me the whole deal about the accusations coming from jealousy, its coming from ,at the minimum, circumstantial evidence that the patriots were attempting to circumvent rules to gain an edge.
Wow. A steelers fan on twitter wrote a book on how bad those pesky patriots are? That is crushing. lol
You're exactly right. If that's the case it'll come out. But it won't be in the form of a recycled ESPN story two days before ESPN hosts the season opener. And if it happens I'll eat crow and I'll even do it in here as would be fair.
