This is how its been with Rex, should be used to it by now, the discipline of the players an penalties were far more disturbing.

Only in Jetsville do we call for the head coach's job after a win.

You got that right..they whine more when they win then win they lose..the people calling for Rex to get fired after a win would deserve it if he did and then replace him with another Kotite.

not many knowledgable fans are saying that Geno sucks! Perhaps a few Suckchez fans are saying it but that is about all and they don't count!

I'd equate it to when they stupidly fired WALT MICHAELS for a lie and ego. That team under Walt's leadership was poised to win a Championship. ( Shula cheated ) Rex should NOT be fired. This is his team and defense. he is the leader for which it performs marvelously!

Funny, but all of those guys you mentioned has accomplished things that Rex has not so far. That is, win a CCG and went on to win a SB as well. That means these coaches you named, while perhaps not masters at every unit, have a better handle on all phases on the team instead of pushing one unit ahead of all others.

That they have a better handle on all three phases seems to translate into a higher level of success instead of the rollercoaster that we've come not only to expect, but to wave in front of opposing fans as if losing is some kind of victory. Back to back AFCCG losses ring a bell?

So far, the HC by committee approach seems to be working. Instead of one guy, we have it appears 2 senior coordinators for the moment.

We have 2 experts. One on Defense, one on offense, none on ST's since Westhoff retired. This might just be the new wave of coaching in the NFL. Hopefully, it will win us a SB.

As long as it's Rex, 19 penalties is okay. How dare we question how a team that is so well coached commit almost an NFL record amount of penalties...

    Shame on you Matt.

And if Rex wasn't the coach the defense would have probably given up 30 more point and we lose by 23.

Don, you're saying that Rex is the only competent DC in the entire league now?

Note to you.. You don't like how things are around here, take a hike. No one is forcing you to post here. Either comment on the thread or don't post in it. Consider yourself warned.

We are way beyond competent when we talk about him..Pettine was competent and you see how that is working out with probably a better overall group than we have.

abyz.....you are correct. Please see the time in which I posted this thread. I was right after the fumble that we could not challenge. Fired was too strong.

With that said, the H.C. responsibilities are poor to say the least. Between the timeouts being called the previous games too late...allowing a guy like Wilson to stay on the field during that run down the field. Challenges that everyone saw were useless...running offensive plays up by 11 with seconds to go on the play clock...the list goes on and on.

Many have pointed out that this has been Rex since he has been here....I really dont believe its been that bad. Its horrible this year and the only thing that has changed is that he is now in complete control of the defense...the defense that is keeping us in the game every week...agreed...but something has to be done about game management things because its a disgrace right now.

If the Jets had lost this game..it would have been the lead story everytime the Jets were mentioned. He lucked out. I like the guy.

Something needs to be done asap to have someone get a pulse of whats going on in the game.

the same game you were..he committed 5 penalites in 4 plays...have you ever seen that before? Did you think he should have been pulled earlier? Were you pissed he was pulled at all?

Next time you call out a mod or an Admin, you'll be permabanned. That is not a threat, but a promise. Oh, one last thing. I'm not gonna debate this one more time either.

No. But he is consistently among the best in the league. You can knock Rex all you want, but the guy can coach up a defense.

Yes...because if we fire Rex...the only available people are Kotite and Herm Edwards

Hey Don...you want me to give you a list of very good OC and DC'S who couldnt manage a game?

People are missing the point here with this "but we would suck without a great defense" stuff. I get it and love we have a great defense.

This has NOTHING to do with the great defense....this is about a coach with a pulse on the game..perhaps 70% of their job.
