I want Geno Smith, with the 9th pick it's a possibility. I wanted Matt Ryan in 2008 and heard all this "I don't want any QB from this years draft class, it's weak" back then. Instead we got Gholston (I know Ryan went third, but I wanted to trade up if possible).

If he's available you have to grab him, After watching Cam Newton and RG III, I'm officially on the athletic black dude for QB bandwagon.

I agree that the new GM should have final say on who the head coach will be. Rex needs to interview for the job like everyone else.

I would draft Warmack in the 1st and Tyler Bray in the 2nd.

Just watched some game recaps from NC and I like this kid. He is quick. Reminds me of Rice a Lil. I remember doing a running back challenge in college and thinking he was gonna be a star.

I also love his hands. Good weapon out of the backfield. Thanks for the heads up.

1st we need to trade our first for a late first and early second. This is a heavy meat and potatoes draft. We can get 1 of 3 beast tackles and in the second. That beast guard womack. Then in the 3rd. Whoever is left out of the qbs.

I am also not opposed to keeping where we are and hope teo falls to us.

There are no really great skill guy's in this draft. we need a better tackle and a middle linebacker. We need depth if a lot of vets leave. We are good at WR with Hill, holmes, kerley and braylon. We can sign a better RB or weapon to go with greene. Reggie is a F.A.?

Keep Nick Mangold, Antonio Cromartie and some of the younger players with promise. Get rid of every other human being involved in the football operations of the club.

I think Hilliard's been a better FB than Connor was. Why cut minimum wage / rookie contract players? It makes no sense. Kyle Wilson stepped up big time this year, as well. Harris will stay.

What necessitates/justifies this team adding any short-term fixes for/in 2013?

    In no particular order
    Braylon
Mendenhall and re-sign Greene, Powell #3
Heath Miller or Draft a TE in RD 4, see ya Keller
Moore on the cheap (if not Slauson as a 1 year stop gap and draft a OG in RD2, this means Vlad will start...Yikes
Devito on the cheap, if not stop gap or Glen Dorsey for under 2Mil
Draft a rush OLB in RD 3 and re-sign BT for vet min
Delmas and sign Bell to a 1 year deal

RD 1 pick, BPA on O! T,G,QB,RB,TE in that order

EJ Manuel in the 3rd/4th is another option. 6"5, 4.6 40 time.

Also is anyone in favor of absolutely blowing it up? I'm talking trading and shedding salaries. Only remaining pieces would be Mangold, Ferguson, Cumberland, Wilkerson, Ellis, Coples, Demario Davis, and one of Revis/Cromartie. Just completely rebuild the entire team. And before anyone scoffs at that idea, that's exactly the type of purge Seattle has done over the past two years.

I was looking at options for Fullback today, and remembered Hillis. In the West Coast offense, not only do you need to create misdirection, but you also need backs that can catch. Hillis provides the ability to for both, and should come cheap.

    Thoughts?
