Conor Orr @ConorTOrr 39s Heavy pressure from Sheldon today, caused Geno to throw one Away, sacked him a second time. #nyj This I love to hear. Not only the Sheldon pressure part, But Geno threw it away on at least one of them. Learning early not to force it and take hits is going to be very important for him.
Yeah I just saw that Stephen Hill is also not participating. Offense looks like shit right now, but I don't care who's out there, you don't throw this many picks.
Hey they completed a couple passes... Cro was calling for a shutout. Though, honestly, I am not surprised at this at all. We have a defense installed 4 years now going up against the first "real" very different offense that our guys have seen in a long time. There are going to be some growing pains against a RexRyan defense, regardless of who's at QB.
Then they have to simply throw the ball away. Just because there isn't anyone open doesnt mean you throw it in there and hope for the best.
I definitely am not reading too much into this, not in a "I'm overly optimistic and we're going to win the Super Bowl this year" way. That being said it is both an interesting combination of being very funny and a little worrying.
Might have to disagree with you here.. I think this is really the time they should be seeing what they can do and pushing the envelope and stress testing our WR core. This is the time of year when they're allowed to make mistakes, If this continues throughout the preseason and becomes a regular occurrence then we can begin to worry. First full team practice *not* in pads, Let them figure out what's out there. Be Bold.
Including more throws, Sanchez has multiple interceptions. A little depressing but it's only Day 1. Don't consider myself in the Sanchez, Geno or McElroy camp. Don't care who it it is, just want one QB to step up & show something good. Hopefully, there's an honest QB competition & someone will come out shining compared to his peers.
Wasn't happy with the Sheldon pick initially but I admit to not researching him much pre-draft. Would be very happy to be proven wrong as Sheldon establishes himself as a defensive force. Good luck Mr. Sheldon.
If we had an established QB I would agree with you 100%. To me it as the QBs should be getting tested just as much as these no named WR. They shouldn't get a pass just because the true WRs aren't in there.
sounds like they are throwing to the defense. not surprised sanchez threw a pick on a screen,he has a habit of that
Agree, and disagree, Without seeing the passes there's really no way to tell what "should" have happened on the play. If QB throws to WR a jump ball, and Cro beats out the #5 and #6 WRs on our depth chart for a pick. Thats an entirely different story then if he beat out S. Hill or Holmes. Could be a perfectly thrown ball that would be great under normal circumstances, But if the unproven WR can't make a play he can't make a play, Better to find that out now then later.
Looking on the bright side, at least our DBs are showing good hands and gaining valuable experience on INTs. It's early .... it's very, very early. Wouldn't read into anything at this stage.
the only thing you can read into this is 1. the secondary is better than the wr corps right now. and we knew that already 2. sanchez is horrible in the screen game. and we knew that already. i wouldnt draw any conclusions about the oline in a no pad no contact practice
