The problem is our offense needs as many reps as it can get and it sounds like a shit ton of time was wasted with petty bullshit and then practice was canceled because of weather. Total waste of a day.

I’d be shocked and upset if he didn’t. Hack started games 2 and 3 last year. Sam definitely showed enough to be given the opportunity to seize the job the next 2 games.

Before it gets too out of hand, just so you know, I believe that quote was from NCJetsfan, not Ralebird.

Yes, that was me, not Ralebird, and I stand by that comment. No one who knows anything about QB play could have made the comments about Mayfield's debut that they did.

I honestly wouldn’t hate if Teddy started at least this coming game. It’s just as important to showcase him considering Sam is the long play and if we are being fair, he looked every bit as good as Sam.

I feel like it’s rare that we agree but I guess lightning struck twice.

Can’t argue with the weather stoppage. That was definitely a waste.

Should have went inside like Arizona does when the weather gets bad.

Redskins don't have an indoor practice facility for preseason in Richmond.

I was happy to see Enunwa, Herndon and Leggett all in pads today and doing individual drills. It didnt look like any of the 3 participated in 7 on 7 drills though. The view was partially obstructed by players so it was hard to tell.

The Jets O practiced against the Skins D and vice versa. I saw 2 shoving matches with our O and at least one involved the D roughing up Pryor. It looked like they pulled his jersey off like some Eddy Shore old time hockey. Just some shoving and words ensued nothing big.

Robbie had a great play on a swing pass from Darnold. He started in motion and then took a quick pass in stride and out ran the Skins D up the sideline. That dude can flat out run!

The D was on the other field and I couldn't see it very well but there were at least 2 skirmishes there too. That's where someone let loose some fists.

There was also a lot of punt team coverage drills today. I thought it was interesting that Cannon was back receiving them.

That's cool. Think how boring this site would be if you and I and others always agreed.

And no one who says this can come up with reasons why the statements were wrong. Other than because.

Brings former Giant Dave Meggett to mind. His 1st NFL pre-season game Meggett muffed two punts but because he also showed Parcells flashes of breakaway potential they kept him and the rest was history. Looks like Cannon's elusiveness has the Jets thinking the same thing and from here they'll probably have him doing double-duty catching "punts" off the Jugs machine.

....that is, before Dave Meggett crashed and burned (now serving 30 years in the hoosegow).

Unless the Jets are intending to have Teddy start and play a lot. Are they considering this Sam's work for the week?

You never know with this team. They don't follow conventional logic.

The Rams did the same thing. They had joint practices all week and considered that their work for the week and played nobody during their preseason game.

  19. DBs getting beat like a drum on 1on 1’s & DL getting dominated by Skins OL in drills.Nlt a good day for the D at all.

Sounds like O is makng plenty of plays though.

With all the positive about Darnold it seems the one glaring negative has been his lack of accuracy on deep balls. Nice to see we have a WR willing to go up and fight for them because we may be needing a lot of that.
