No, but he's someone who's played at the highest level and simply speaking from personal experience. On what he seen every day. From his H.S & college days to the N.Y Jets; there just weren't many athletically gifted defensive athletes that he went up against that were born with as much pure talent as that of Cromartie. No question one of the most gifted athlete's Sanchez experienced as a teammate. You don't have to be Joe Montana to understand God given ability when you see it. Who knows how bad or how many times Cro broke the confidence level of Sanchez during practice. Probably more times than that of #24 since everyone knew better than to try Revis to begin with.
Yeah but is he as qualified as some critical fans, many of whom are watching and typing from their parents basements?
Green and White scrimmage tonight! Should be fun. Hopefully we get some good updates in this thread. Anyone going?
In the 2-3 years of Petty & Hackenberg I never heard back shoulder pass mentioned once. I am PSYCHED FOR SAM
The kid is accurate. He's patient when he needs to be. Goes through progressions. Eyes always downfield And he knows when to use the right amount of touch on the throws. And this is college supposedly his release has quickened since then from those who've been watching I love the second throw there. That is NOT an easy throw from you own endzone on a 3rd and 6 to hit a guy in stride like that 30+ yards down the field enabling him to pick up 12 more yards. And while he did have some separation the defender was pretty close too
I don't think he'll be allowed to do the ankle sox thing in an NFL game. Though he practices like that I've seen him practicing in all kinds of cleats. Probably just trying out what feels best
Another good play. Nothing jaw dropping but good. Shows what feel he has for what is going on around him. Deadly accurate throw on the run. Geno on that play is running backwards. Sanchez would chuck it 10 yards out of bounds
