i know what you're saying, but i hope we don't have to rely on Grossman playing poorly. i'd love to beat them even when Grossman plays well.

but yeah, i hope we rattle and pressure him - like we did to Brady - and force him to make mistakes.

    cheers

I think you might be able to allow for playoff spots to:

    Indy (9-0)
    Baltimore (7-2)
New England (6-3)--questionable to concede them in at this point, but I don't see how they won't make the playoffs
    Denver (7-2)
    San Diego (7-2)

That's five spots. The Jets, Bengals, Jaguars, and Chiefs all will probably be fighting for the last spot.

Jacksonville still has the Chiefs, Colts, Pats, and Giants left, but keep in mind that the Jets have to beat them outright to win a playoff spot as they hold the tiebreaker. But that's a VERY tough schedule in these last 9 games, and they also have to play a better Miami team (as do we).

You never know when Cincinnati could realize its potential, but it will also be very tough for them to do so. They have New Orleans, Baltimore, Indy, Denver, and Pittsburgh left.

And Kansas City still has Baltimore, Denver, San Diego, and Jacksonville left, but they probably have two easy wins in Oakland twice.

With the schedules of these other teams, 10-6 just MIGHT be enough to get the Jets into the playoffs. The closest will probably be either KC or the Jaguars. That last game between the two will probably be HUGE in the scope of the AFC playoffs...

After next week we will have a better idea of what the outlook should be for us. We need amazing pressure on Grossman to cause him to make his usual mistakes. Special teams worry me with this game too. I have faith we will take this game, and if we can I cant even fathem how excited I will be. Patriots & Bears? Greedy.. Hell yes.... Why not?

I still think we will go, 11-5.

assuminh ne beats us for the division itll prolly come down to jets kc and cinn for that extra wild crad spot...looking at jax's remaining schedule id pretty much count them out.... kc still has a rough end of year with dever sandiego and jax...
then cinn's last 3 games are colt broncos pitts......

now heres were things can get tricky.. were only 1 game behind newengland and first in the div.. looking at the 2 schedules there pretty much both easy aside from the chi game... now if ne looses to chi but we win we should be tied up..... bottom line if we happen to beat chi this weekend i think were pretty much in .. but if we loose itll comedown to the last stretch of the season
