Yes you have a vaild point...the Jags mopped us up....we simple didnt show up...HOWEVER you are getting off point... I might as well just say that the raiders are averaging 11.7 ppg vs. the Jets 19.7...it looks liek every team you play has the 2000 Ravens defense with the way your offense produces...just something to think about before predicting a Raiders win
HEY GENIUS!!! Gannon won MVP in 2002....the year he retired was 2005( after the 2004 year) when he did absolutely nothing in 2003...next time you want to attempt to clown on me attempt to get your facts straight...Gannon did absolutely nothing the year before he retired, which shows how much knowledge my Raider fan has, which reperesents people like you...another dilusional fan if you have no idea what im talking about...read in my previous posts that i said the year he retired, the raider fan was predicting his best season...
Listen Kid Im going to help you out, so when you go to your first grade class tommorrow, Your Raiders friend will be impressed. A Couple Facts. R Gannon misssed most of 2003 season due to injury - Had a torn labrum) Raiders started like 6 QBs that year. I believe week 6 Third Game of 2004 against the Tampbay. D Brooks broke gannon neck.(missed all of 2004) YEs gannon retired in 2005(looking at his football card) but that was more for salary cap purposes as Raidders couldn't take the cap hit before than. Kid again learn your facts before you want to take on the big boys. Again I ask are you sure your not ROBA.
haha...typical pathetic raider fan...id be more concerned with the # 1 draft pick next year then calling a grown man a kid...ignorant fool...read the above post...im sure you will see the exact thing i just typed....i didnt need to say gannon was injured in 03....I said he did nothing( even prior to his injury)...if you dont know that you are a blind man..and claiming he was going to have a great year in 04 with an aging brown and rice was just foolish...that was the point i was making...but you cant read proper english without missing the point....maybe i shouldn't be the one to attend 1st grade class tomorrow... check the stats if you dont believe me http://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/GannRi00.htm nowhere near 99-02 Gannon...i rest my case..
Common misconception about the 2000 Ravens. The Ravens had a very good running game to go with that defense. Does Oakland have a QB who won't turn the ball over or take sacks? No. Does Oakland have a running game? No. Does Oakland have an all-time great defense? No. Is Oakland going to win 5 games this year? No.
the only thing that i'm pissed off about this season is the fact that we should be 6-3. It is a horrible thing when the refs steal 7 points from you (which would've tied the game). Other then that, i think that we have had a great season and have a shot at the playoffs. REMAINING GAMES: vs Bears - tight game, i have faith and think we could win, but i'll count it as a loss for fairness vs Houston - should win @ Green Bay - Green Bay has been better lately, but i'll call it a win vs Buffalo - win @ Minnesota - tight game, lets call it a tie @ Miami - should win, but its in Miami and they give us fits... win vs Oakland - win that makes us 10-5-1.... i'm excited for the stretch
we very well could be 7-2, we got screwed in Cleveland, and we shoudl have won the Indy game, very close to being the elite in the AFC if we won those games....this is not a great Jets team....nonetheless we deserve to be the 6th seed if we run it to 10 or 11 wins it pisses me off too but ill get over it over a nice cold brew
The Jets certainly have a chance - Basically, If we assume NE will hold on and win the AFC EAST then it comees down to a three way race between NYJ, Kansas city, and JAX for the final wild card spot. (SD, Denver, Baltimore, NE, and Indy all should finish ahead of us) The Jets have easier schedules than both teams - esp JAX who has a brutal schedule - This is perfect since they would own the tie-breaker with us because they beat us head to head. (boy did they ever) Meanwhile, we will very likely finish with a better conference record than the chiefs (which is the second tie breaker criteria following head to head matchups)
To Make The Playoffs... In order for the Jets to make the playoffs, they have to WIN OUT their AFC schedule. If they're going to lose the rest of the way, it better be in Chicago and Green Bay. Losing that Cleveland game was terrible. I don't know about anyone else, but this Buffalo game freaks me the hell out. -X-
We need to go 5-2 How we get there doesn't really matter. And, yeah, the Buffalo game should worry you. Division games are always tough and we still have to go down to Miami.
Even Miami is getting steadily better now that they have Culpepper out of the mix. They have knocked off two decent teams now. I still think we are an 8 win team, maybe 9 if we are lucky and beat who we should.
Isn't it great that we can even think playoffs......5-2 Remaing schedule; Nov 19 Chicago 1:00pm Heart vs head on this one , head wins. LOSS Nov 26 Houston 1:00pm Texans seem to gathering some momentum and won't be the pushover they were.WIN Dec 3 @Green Bay 1:00pm Tough tough game and very cold. If we can play a similar gameplan to that @ NE we may win. WIN Dec 10 Buffalo 1:00pm Bills looking for payback? They won't get it , footballhottie goes home crying. WIN Dec 17 @Minnesota 1:00pm After 2 consecative away games @ Bears and Lions , will be glad to get home. Hard one this but LOSS Dec 25 @Miami 8:30pm This for me is the hardest game left outside of the Bears. Doesn't matter how shite their record is they always turn it up a notch for us. Can't bring myself to write L**** so, WIN Dec 31 Oakland 1:00pmLast game of the season and we will need to win this for extended season, WIN
San Diego may even be a Wild Card team if Denver keeps winning. that would leave the last Wild Card spot up for grabs among the Jets, Jags, and Chiefs. as it stands right now, we don't even own a tie-breaker in the Wild Card. Jax beat us, so if it came down to us and Jax, they would get it. our only two chances are: 1) win the Division (which i think is still unlikely). 2) hope that KC and Jax continue losing, while we continue winning once again, even if we win, we'll need other teams to lose. cheers
I agree that this week is house money -- but it would be a huge win. I think GB, Miami and Minn on the road are very very tough. We must beat Hou, Buff and Oak -- that will get us to 8. You have to look at KC/Jax -- they end the season playing each other.
chicago game this week is crucial I think. grossman could have one of his terrible days again and our hopefully our secondary can keep us in the game with his lousy throws.
The problem I see is that we are going to have to go 5-1 in our final 6 if we lose to a VERY GOOD Bears team this weekend. We still aren't a really good football team and I think we will have trouble knocking off some of those teams like Miami and Minnesota. However, anything can happen and a win this week would be huge.
