Well, this creates an opportunity for the young guys, although it's unfortunate. Maybe we should put Holmes on temp IR in case he's back for the super bowl.
I say we sign no one. TO, Cinco, whoever. It would be different if we were playoff contenders but I feel we're not. Not that I have too much faith in our young guys but this teams main focus should be talent evalaution not delusional playoff expectations. If we happen to make some noise with our young guys, great. But are we 1 or 2 vets away from a SB push? Nope. We tried that in the past. Failure. I don't want to be the Redskins of old. Again.
Just read this online: Saints tried out 5 WRs The Saints tried out Jason Hill, Brian Robiskie, Preston Parker, Rashied Davis and Deon Butler.
It is odd.....maybe this is Rex's way of dealing with his bullshit with the least amount of drama. "Here take your $ and stay home"...... Giving up the ball could've been the last straw. Pure speculation, but who knows?
Manish Mehta @MMehtaNYDN Santonio Holmes' future with Jets may be tied to their financial commitment: Jets owe him $7.5 million in guaranteed money in 2013. #nyj This team is in shambles.
You're fucking pathetic dude, rooting for your team to fail so you get a top pick. I'm not expecting the Jets to do anything this year (haven't since the Pittsburgh game) but I'm not rooting for them to lose either.
no surprise here - it looked like a LF fracture/dislocation from his foot position when he went down. dont get all crazy about the time the jets are taking - it can be a difficult injury to "stage" (where and how many fractures/dislocations are actually there). no doubt surgery with some shiny hardware to be inserted in there. tough injury to come back 100% from - especially a receiver. the string of relative good luck with injuries has ended.
LOL I did not do this. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lisfranc_injury "American football players occasionally acquire this injury, such as Matt Schaub[6], Darren McFadden[7] and Santonio Holmes, often when they have their foot plantar flexed and another player lands on their heel. In extreme cases, the injury may cause the player to immediately relinquish possession of the ball to the opposing team for no apparent reason whatsoever."
Its not a curse. I blame Tim Tebow for this shit. I mean when have the Jets been this unlucky? Think about it. Its like Tebow is working his magic, probably praying that he get another chance in the spotlight, so he can come in and lead this Jets team like he lead last years Broncos team. Funny how just like Thomas, Hill went to Georgia Tech. The Jets lost they best defensive player and they best offensive player to non contact injury's in back to back weeks. Amazing.
So what you're saying is that Tebow really made a deal with the devil to get him another shot and just makes people think he's a Christian?
The Jets have very little talent at WR. They haven't drafted a WR in the 1st round since Santana Moss in 2001. They took Stephen Hill in the 2nd round this year. He was the first WR taken that high since Moss. It's like the Jets do not have a fundamental understanding that the draft is where you find your talent in the NFL. They keep trading for other teams castoffs and bundling several picks to move up for people who will become the Jets castoffs soon enough. It's a horrible, flawed personnel acquisition scheme and the guy responsible for talent evaluation is a fraud.
Well look at the Jets first round picks going back to 2001 Coples - D Mo Wilk - D Wilson - D Sanchez - O Gholston - D/Keller - O Revis - D D'Brick - O/Mangold - O None Vilma - D Robertson - D Thomas - D Moss - O That's 5 offensive players in 11 years of first round picks. Since Moss, no RB or WR. Sure it's possible to get some great players in the later rounds, but it doesn't help when the Jets trade away their second round pick almost every year.
Basically. Funny thing is there's some pictures of Tebow, who is a virgin, kissing men. Very suspect and very unholy. Nonetheless this Jets season gonna get even more interesting.
The Jets offense has been mediocre for most of the decade. You get out what you put in. With the exception of the Bucs and Steelers all of the teams that have won Super Bowls in the last decade have been focused on scoring or at worst balanced with an emphasis on scoring. The Jets just don't have a clue.
