    Here's Holmes' contributions:

    2010 52 rec. 746 yds 6 td
    2011 51 rec. 654 yds 8 td

Thats not a heck of a lot of production to have to replace.

    lol

This. In all honesty the team was playing poorly even when we had our two marque players.

I wouldn't bother trading for a WR it's not like we are going any where this season. I'm sure there are WR we could pick up cheap like a Gaffney (btw, the Fins have already scooped him up). Didn't the Pats also cut Branch? They got cut for obvious reason but other team's trash is often better than Jets backups.

Pats picked Branch back up. I'm not sure who's available...TO, Braylon, Plax, Chad Johnson?

Heard rumors the Cowboys are getting tired of Dez Bryant.

If it gets out that this douchebag faked an injury and quit on his team (AGAIN), this locker room will never hear the end of it. I'm not one for conspiracies, but this is beyond peculiar.

With fantasy football being so huge these days, the league constantly presses teams for accurate injury lists. So 3 days with no news is just completely out of the norm.

    Fine by me.

I'd rather go 4-12, 5-11 than 7-9, 8-8. Give me the better draft position AND a higher possibility of the organization going over a large or complete overhaul. I'd rather get a Top 5 draft pick than miss the playoffs by a game or two, wouldn't you? With or without Holmes this is not a playoff team, especially without Revis.

Isn't like the re-active Jets to be always two steps behind?

    TO - NEVER

Braylon - signed with Seattle. The Jets didn't offer to sign him when he was available and Braylon said wouldn't come back to the Jets.

Plax - isn't an every down WR. I could have seen him early in the season as red zone specialist. Besides he is too slow. There is also locker room issues with him to boot.

    Chad - he's washed up

Dez - would want too much $ and he drops the ball too much.

If we picked up someone they'd have to be a good character guy to hold up to all the losing and bad offensive play.

The surest way for Rex to lose his job is if he loses the locker room again like last year. For that reason alone I don't see them signing any bad character "projects".

Terrell Owens still has the speed and he should be motivated so I don't see why not.

So what are you saying? You want the players to go out and lose on purpose just to secure a high draft position? You want pussies who don't play their hearts out every week? I sure don't. I hate comments like this. And to top it off you don't have any guarantee that the drafted players will turn out to be any good. So ask the guys to just give up - brilliant.

I think he did. Did the doctors find out what's wrong with him? Possible vagina strain?

Now that's a better plan. I second the motion. And kudos back up QB - never give up. No quitters allowed.

I dont want to lose on purpose, but like I said lets give these younger guys we already have a shot and see what they got. Lets save that 6mil for next year when we're healthy

Holmes is a selfish player, with his hey look at me I got a first down antics, but he looked hurt, you can't fake something like that. My guess is he tore a tendon in his foot/ankle.
