That's because some people here are just fucking retards and are happier when they're miserable. We won a very important game, on the road, against a division opponent who's owned us for awhile and what do people here do? They bitch because of how we won. Screw it, we won and are in first place. But people would have whined no matter what. I have no doubt of that.
Best quote I've read today. Because we won the game on the strength of the players and the luck of a coin toss, we should turn a blind eye to the fact that there should have been no overtime in the firstplace but for the awful defensive playcalling at the end. Incredible.
I admit to not loving the prevent D however, there were a few things that played into that. The Pats have a very good OL and we weren't getting a big rush very often and our lineman were sucking wind. Lowery, who I think is a very good young player was having a tough night, not unexpected in NE against a very well coached and talented team. Ty Law couldn't cover anyone one on one last night so we needed to keep both safties back, not to mention Ben Watson and Faulk create a hugh mismatch for our LB's in pass. Moss is as good a WR as there is in this game. He made a spectacular catch outright spectacular to tie the game up. Cassel was almost sacked but you know he is a big tough QB and on that play made a perfect throw that no other WR in the NFL catches other than Moss. Moss had beatin our D all night and there was no reason to think, he Welker, Gafney and or Watson wouldn't get behind the D again even without the prevent. The game, particularly big games come down to playmakers making plays. The Pats did and we did. BB outcoached Mangini in the second half big time. Not unexpected. We prevailed that's a good thing for the team and a young HC.
They're still the Patriots at home... That's why football is a team game... sometimes the D picks up the O... sometimes the O picks up the D... sometimes everything clicks... That's what GOOD teams do
